Director, Oligo-Bioconjugate Delivery - Permanent - Boston, MA

Proclinical is seeking a Director of Oligo-Bioconjugate Delivery will lead a cross-functional group focused on advancing tissue targeted biotherapeutics, particularly oligonucleotide conjugates. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a strategy for therapeutic development and contribute to a growing pipeline.

Primary Responsibilities:

Skills & Requirements:

Expertise in biochemistry, protein engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and growing cross-functional teams.Deep knowledge of conjugation and oligonucleotide chemistries, and analytical characterization techniques.Success in the discovery, characterization, and development of bioconjugation-based therapeutics.Experience managing CROs for the production and characterization of bioconjugates.Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Director, Oligo-Bioconjugate Delivery's responsibilities will be:

Lead the development and optimization of oligonucleotides and linker/conjugation chemistries for tissue targeted delivery.Develop and implement strategies to support the engineering, production, and characterization of oligonucleotide bioconjugates.Design and build lab space to meet the needs of the Oligonucleotide Chemistry & Bioconjugation group.Recruit and mentor a team of scientists to discover and develop candidate bioconjugates.Contribute to the growth of the non-viral pipeline by achieving platform and program goals.Establish a network of external partners, including academic institutions and CROs, to enhance capabilities.Stay updated on technological advancements in the oligonucleotide/ADC space.Develop and manage timelines, resources, and operating budgets.
