The Director, Omni Channel Marketings leads the retail-specific marketing strategy, focusing on enhancing the customer shopping experience and boosting channel sales. They collaborate with the Account(s) VP or Director, wholesale teams, and retailers to drive eCommerce sales and formulate strategic direction for major marketing programs, in store events and retailer exclusives.  They will also be the account lead for Ulta, Target, and HSN. Acting as the primary point-of-contact for retailer E-commerce Merchants and Marketing teams, they negotiate exposure, execute marketing programs, media and manage day-to-day business operations. Additionally, they oversee inventory, forecasting, and budgets for online-only channels, while internally driving cross-functional creative and content needs and ensuring timely asset delivery.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

E-commerce Account Management:

Strategic Oversight & Optimization: Oversee e-commerce media and merchandising efforts across retail partner platforms to achieve online sales targets. Analyze sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize revenue. Stay informed about platform developments and industry best practices. Content Management & Promotion: Plan, develop, and execute compelling site content updates, product launches, and promotions aligned with the marketing calendar. Manage product catalogs, ensuring accuracy and compelling product information. Recommend and design creative assets to enhance site experience and drive user engagement. Retailer Collaboration & Partnership: Collaborate closely with Benefit Account Leads and retailer e-commerce teams to develop and implement joint marketing strategies. Manage retailer relationships, address their marketing needs, and negotiate optimal product placement and promotional activities. Performance Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular sales reports, analyze key performance indicators, and identify areas of opportunity to achieve sales goals. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. P&L Management (Online & Live Selling): For online and live selling channels, manage the P&L to achieve net sales and operating profit targets. Partner with planning and operations teams to manage inventory, orders, returns, forecasts, samples, and budget. Oversee the launch of new online retailers with robust marketing plans. Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and mentor the Assistant Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives and drive online sales growth.

Omni-Channel Marketing:

Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive omni-channel marketing strategy that integrates online and offline activities to drive sales and brand awareness. Create robust marketing plans aligned with monthly themes, new product launches, key product pillars, and retailer-specific initiatives. Campaign Development & Execution: Develop cohesive product launch programs that scale across online and offline channels, utilizing a variety of tactics (e.g., media, social media, email, CRM, in-store events, direct mail). Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of marketing and in-store events in collaboration with Marketing, Account Directors, and Retail Teams. Marketing Calendar Management: Own and manage the channel marketing calendar, ensuring it is consistently updated with all marketing activities and shared regularly with cross-functional teams. Creative Collaboration & Asset Management: Partner closely with internal creative teams to develop compelling marketing assets for new product launches, ongoing campaigns, and monthly promotions. Ensure timely delivery of assets while maintaining brand consistency and clear product messaging. Manage ongoing retailer marketing asset needs, ensuring timely completion of projects. Customer Acquisition: Partner with the US Marketing team to implement strategies that drive new customer acquisition within retail channels.

 

 

Qualifications:

5-8  years previous experience with relevant retail or trade marketing, ecommerce and merchandising background. Strong marketing background preferred. E-commerce Expertise:Deep understanding of e-commerce principles, best practices, and current trends. Experience managing online merchandising, digital marketing campaigns, and product catalog optimization. Omni-Channel Marketing Acumen:Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across online and offline channels. Experience with a range of marketing tactics, including social media, email marketing, CRM, event management, and content marketing. Retail Industry Knowledge:Strong understanding of the retail landscape, including retail operations, merchandising, and consumer behavior. Experience working with major retailers preferred. Analytical & Strategic Thinking:Ability to analyze sales data, identify market trends, and develop strategic marketing plans to achieve business objectives. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus. Financial Management:Experience managing budgets, forecasting sales, and analyzing P&L statements, particularly within an e-commerce context. Project Management & Organizational Skills:Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Communication & Collaboration:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Experience presenting to and influencing stakeholders. Leadership & Team Management:Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of marketing professionals. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing automation tools. Experience with e-commerce platforms and content management systems is a plus. 

 

Schedule:

Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to a Benefit Office

 

 

The target salary range for this position in California is $150,000 - $180,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
