A Day in the Life:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning and Forecasting, OTB management 

Develop annual sales, gross margin, and inventory plans by division to support company sales and

       inventory objectives in mainland China market. 

Lead the MFR process (Monthly Forecast) with HQ and regional stakeholders, be transparent, not only identifying risk and opportunities, to translate collective ideas into action plan.Guide buying and other cross-functional partners to capitalize on new opportunities and identify

        risks by utilizing historical data and current trends. 

In partnership with buying team, build a market specific strategic promotional calendar providing

       guidance on key/peak weeks. 

Recommends strategic actions to maximize sales, margin, optimize inventory, and mitigate risk.   

       Collaborate with Field Organization, Visual, Marketing, and other critical partners to ensure

       execution of strategies.  

Maintain category buy plans to achieve sales, sell thru, and receipt strategies outlined in monthly

       OTB’s. 

Sales and Inventory Management  

Ensure store financial plans and product plans are in line and adhere to store specific trends and  

       customer demographics.  

Based on $/square foot or other KPIs to understand sales and productivity per stores; recommend

       product shifts based on learning’s to maximize sales. 

Partnering with buying team for in season omni inventory management optimizing inventory across channels, particularly during marketplace peak season.Striking a sales & inventory balance of MFO vs Mainline product to maximize sales profitability and minimize inventory liability.

Business Strategy/ Drive Results 

Clearly communicate the priorities of the business and focus the team on the most critical

        business initiatives. 

Develop an understanding of each retail region and how each region fits into the global growth of

       the company. 

Influence the behavior and opinions of others by using pertinent data and applying logic to gain

        consensus. 

Identify and pursues new opportunities for the business. Drive the business to achieve company financial targets. 

Leadership and People Management 

Model behavior that reflects company values. Create a team environment that encourages collaboration and creativity. Lead and coordinate cross functional collaboration across the organization. Hold people accountable to a high standard of excellence; provide consistent & timely feedback. Manage and support skill and career development of direct reports.  

EDUCATION, PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

Degree holder in Fashion Merchandising/ Business or related disciplines A minimum of 15 years fashion planning experience in retail, in which 5 years in managerial level Established planning experience in fashion industry with high business volume Strong business sense, excellent retail math and analytical skillsCreative problem-solving skill and sound communication and presentation skills Excellent command in English & Chinese
