Job Title: Director, Oncology BU
Location: TWN – Taipei

About the role:

This role aims to champion better health and brighter future for Taiwan cancer patients through Takeda Taiwan oncology products.

This individual holds a crucial position in providing visionary and enterprise-thinking leadership that aligns with Takeda’s corporate philosophy and internal/external regulations, setting the business vision, defining the strategy, and ensuring execution, implementation, and achievement of its mission in the Oncology BU.

The incumbent is accountable for

formulating all strategic goals in relation to the current product portfolio and for new product launches, to ensure sustainable growth of the therapeutic areas;growing business revenue, profits, and the development of an effective and highly performing team, which will deliver on the business goals;being part of Taiwan Leadership Team members and providing professional recommendations to support the General Manager in achieving company objectives.

How you will contribute:

Patient-Centric and Sustainable Growth Business

Leads, manages and oversees the overall Oncology business in Taiwan.Develops, deploys, and implements tangible business strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, (including but not limited to medical, market access, business enabling functions, cross-countries teams…etc.) ensuring it prioritizes and serves patient needs and Takeda’s sustainable growth.Elevates operational effectiveness and optimizes digital solutions, ensuring profitability expectations and other relevant business indicators are met.Establishes a financial plan including units, sales, and expenses in alignment with overall financial planning process, ensuring proper resource allocation and accurate forecasting in a timely manner.Ensures market dynamics and intelligence, treatment development, and growth levers are analyzed on a timely basis and develops perspectives on the responsible portfolio challenges and opportunities, market development, competitive positioning, customer segments & needs.Identifies, establishes and further develops a successful route to market model and drives projects for a revolutionary new onset in pharmaceutical marketing (implementing a best-in-class Oncology organization).

Visionary and Enterprise-thinking Leadership

Joins as a Taiwan Leadership Team (TWLT) member, and provides professional recommendations to General Manager in the overall Taiwan Business Development.Builds and promotes an inclusive, people-first, lifelong learning, and disciplined organizational culture within the Oncology BU and the cross-functional teams.Translates and communicates Company’s vision, mission, and business objectives into actionable business strategies, ensuring the team understands and complies with internal/external regulations and ethical standards, lives and executes patient-centricity and customer-centricity, defined as listening to patients/customers and meeting their needs to provide innovative solutions.Sets goals and objectives for Oncology BU and supervises and appraises the performance achievement.In cooperation with HR and General Manager to hire, develop, coach, inspire, and retain people, ensuring a competent, agile, and future-ready talent pipeline is in place, while developing a best-in-class workplace and organization.

Values-based Key Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership

Influences and advocates patient needs through building values-based engagements and partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders, to support shaping the healthcare landscape and environment where innovative treatment can be accessed, patients’ quality of life can be improved and lifted, and Takeda's reputation in the Oncology area can be further elevated.Serves as top representative of the Oncology BU in regional, global, or other management team meetings.

What you bring to Takeda:

University graduated or above; MBA degree will be a plus.+ 10 years of solid working experience in Sales or Marketing fields in pharmaceutical industry, while the experiences in specialty (oncology or biologics) preferred.+5 years experiences in people management with team size more than 10.Understanding in local market healthcare system is preferred.Ability to navigate corporate organizations to identify decision-makers.Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic account business plan.Demonstrated ability to communicate/cross-function communicates, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including executives.Strong skills for problem solving & judgement, analytical thinking ability, technical expertise of business strategy & vision, business acumen.Strong agility of decision making, flexibility & dynamic approach and entrepreneurial attitude.Strong ability for collaborative leadership communication, stakeholder management, mentorship & development and change leadership.Excellent English and Mandarin proficiency in verbal, listening, written communicating skill.Good networking, be passionate, energetic, open-minded and positive thinking.Critical thinking is a must.
