As the Director, Operational Compliance, you will lead and direct efforts necessary to achieve conformance with new compliance and/or regulatory requirements for Global Operations. Through direct interaction with senior leadership and fulfillment teams, this position is responsible to operationalize and manage the prioritization and implementation of all new compliance rules and/or regulatory requirements ensuring completeness and accuracy, as well as ensuring that all milestones are met on schedule.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years experience in a financial services industry, with hands on experience supporting and/or leading regulatory/compliance-related objectives.

Practical experience managing a compliance function or other risk management discipline inclusive of escalation of any issues arising from monitoring reporting.

Comprehensive regulatory examination and/or audit management experience preferred.

Expert in consumer protection laws including UDAAP and FCRA.

Experience navigating a highly matrixed organization.

Experience interacting with federal regulators preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, internal and external business partners, and regulators.

Ability to influence cross-organizational stakeholders with desired outcomes

Strong project management skills and comfort with organizing and managing multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently. 

Impact You'll Make:

Manage and govern operational response and implementation plans to supervisory actions (eg audits and exams) presented to TransUnion by its legal and compliance teams and external regulators.

Create and execute preemptive strategic operational plans against impending supervisory guidance and supervisory enforcement actions from TransUnion regulators.

Identify operational modifications through business process assessment and implement improvement plans to enhance TransUnion's regulatory compliance position.

Identify and prioritize operational compliance gaps and/or new regulatory requirements and further develop and implement execution plans to meet such gaps and requirements impacting Enterprise Operations. 

Provide advice and guidance on regulatory matters related to their impact potential on various business operations.

Establish and maintain operational compliance reporting for senior and executive level management.

Manage, coordinate, and/or effectuate impact on internal audit and assurance functions performed within Global Operations.

Supervise the coordination of response(s) to relevant inquiries by regulatory agencies as directed by TransUnion’s Chief Compliance Officer and other senior leadership in Legal, Compliance, and Global Operations.  This position will direct the cataloging, tracking and monitoring of all operational deliverables associated with regulatory inquiries and/or supervisory exams, providing regular updates on progress and constraints/risks.

Engage and effectuate response planning between external regulators, internal legal, compliance, audit, and assurance groups to ensure proper balance and timing of exam, audit, and assurance response.

Coordinates US and global cross-organizational efforts, (eg Global Technology, Legal, Compliance, Consumer Operations, etc.) toward operationalizing new compliance and/or regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with the internal business operations and or governance representatives for the compliance policy requirements initiated through industry-related initiatives that require the creation and implementation of regulatory-related business requirements and compliance remediation.

Actively participate in regularly scheduled industry-level meetings

Ensures adequate controls exist to mitigate the risk of changes being made to any regulatory requirement already in place

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
