Director, Operations - Energy Storage

The **Director, Operations – Energy Storage** is an integral business partner providing leadership to ensure order fulfillment while driving operational excellence standards for safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory. This role is responsible for providing direct leadership of Production, Quality, Operations Engineering, and Supply Chain functions. This role is also responsible for ensuring the execution of continuous improvement initiatives. **Essential Duties:** + Lead the production of Generac’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system (BESS) products. + Responsible for order execution, workforce allocation, productivity/efficiency, sequencing, and training/development in production. + Establish the operations priorities to meet or exceed customer expectations. + Ensure product, material and information streams flow and are synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation. + Work closely with shop floor personnel to promote ongoing Continuous Improvement of manufacturing methods, systems and controls for Generac’s C&I BESS. + Ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, develop a qualified team, maximize profitable growth and reduce operating costs, inventories & lead times through continuous improvements. + Design and direct the Operations team by selecting, coaching, and developing the team and set objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team. + Lead, implement and promote a culture of respect, integrity and accountability. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or Industrial Technology + 7+ years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment + 7+ years of experience leading a major cross-functional project that included negotiating resources, creating project plans and timelines, identifying and removing roadblocks, and delivering on production and quality targets **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced degree MS and/or MBA + Experience in utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to improve manufacturing operations **Compensation:** Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role when based in Cambridge, Ontario is $166,400.00 - $266,300.00 CAD Annual . This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short- and long-term incentives. Hybrid work environment is supported. **Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
