Director of Operations Services and Beverage
Job Summary
The Director of Operations Services and Beverage is responsible for overseeing the operational services and beverage program across Maggiano's restaurants, ensuring seamless service delivery. The role involves strategic planning, staff management, and maintaining a high standard operational services and beverage quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restaurant operations and a deep understanding of beverage programs, including wine, spirits, and cocktails.
Your Key Job Functions
• Create, implement, and execute strategic objectives to improve Maggiano's Operations through strategic planning, sales, analysis, business plan development, and on-going relationships with key stakeholders.
• Oversee operations across multiple restaurant locations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with the broader Operations team as well as cross-functional partners to guide teams to decisions that align with the organizational goals for operations.
• Strategic ownership of the beverage program including planning and execution of the strategy and priorities that aligns with organizational goals.
• Lead beverage concept programs and new product innovation across multiple restaurants and regions.
• Manage the building of strategic and operational plans that analyze the beverage programs financial performance and contribution through the P&L to deliver brand profitability.
• Collaborates with suppliers to source high-quality products in reference to beverage program.
• Lead and influence Operations, Marketing and Design teams to develop realistic and attainable budgets and accurate forecasts for operations and beverage program.
• Partner with L&D to create training materials for the service and beverage program. Develop and implement programs to train team members in procedures and techniques to elevate service and safe beverage preparation.
• Visit restaurant locations often to train staff and evaluate service operations and beverage program effectiveness, provide guidance to operations teams, and listen to and act on feedback.
• Communicate with restaurant operators and corporate leadership regarding issues, risk and liability concerns, or other important business matters.
What You Bring to the Team
• Strong business acumen with proven strategic planning skills.
• 7-10 years of experience in a beverage leadership role, ideally in a corporate environment and 5+ years of experience as a leader in Restaurant Operations/Food & Beverage or related field within a multi-cultural national or international organization.
• Deep understanding of restaurants and beverage program development within the hospitality industry
• Experience supporting multiple business regions preferred.
• Strong decision-making skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels within the organization.
• Self-starting and assertive, high energy, highly organized and ownership mentality. • Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and desire to work cross-functionally.
• Strong presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skill with ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
