About the role: 

The position of Director of Operations will sit on the XOS leadership team and be responsible for the direction of a multi-functional operations team (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, production scheduling/planning & facilities). We will rely on you to drive performance in all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and utilization of our continuous improvement toolset, the Veralto Enterprise System (VES).

 

This is a paid on-site position in East Greenbush, NY (near Albany, NY), remote or hybrid work is not available. 

 

In this role, you will be: 

Directing the daily operations to meet all quality and delivery thresholds, drive continuous improvement, and meet all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals

Delivering to goals in Safety, Quality (Internal and External), On-Time Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (Labor and Material)

Partnering with HR in developing talent and making XOS an employer of choice for our associates; owning the continual pursuit of a “Best in Class” culture of Associate Engagement. 

Developing and driving continued Lean Conversion using the VES Kaizen Funnel, and Continuous Improvement  

Creating and monitoring operations-level Policy Deployment (top priority strategic initiatives) by identifying plant operations breakthroughs, building a comprehensive action plan and aligning resources to achieve targeted metrics

Driving a culture of stretch goal attainment utilizing VES processes to deliver sustainable results.

Planning and executing new supplier qualification, supplier scorecard program, contract negotiations, and a materials savings funnel for PPV and VAVE with the supply chain team

Working with Design and Implementation teams on manufacturability, capability, and reliability reviews

Developing and monitoring monthly operating budgets and capital projects 

Ensuring all associates are knowledgeable of and comply with standard work policies as defined in ISO 9001 Quality Management System 

Evaluating Associate's performance through structured coaching, performance management, and development plans

Developing project management schedules to validate new products through use of Lean and Six Sigma tools to transition from engineering to manufacturing

Responsible for overall building and grounds, including facility regulatory compliance with Safety, Department of Health, and other regulatory safety and compliance bodies

 

Are you qualified?   

At least 5 years’ manufacturing management experience with proven success in a high complexity manufacturing environment.  Prior Plant/Operations daily management, process development, and organizational development experience in a Lean operations environment, is required. 

3 years’ experience in directly leading a multi-function unit including but not limited to (manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics & facilities) driving resolution in high pressure environments required

Demonstrated success in a lean manufacturing environment, driving accountability and execution through the team using metrics review forums/meetings

Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and engagement throughout the organization working closely with the leadership team and across all levels of associates

Track record of leading and developing both managers and individual contributors building a strong culture of engagement and driving performance

Strengths in delivering savings through achieving manufacturing and inventory goals

APICS or ISM certification a plus

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
