As the Director of Texas A&M University Art Galleries, you’ll be at the helm of an exciting and dynamic department that includes the J. Wayne Stark Galleries, the Forsyth Galleries, our permanent collections, and the vibrant public art on campus. Your role will be to plan, organize, and direct all operations, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable and enriching experience.
You’ll have the creative freedom to develop captivating exhibitions and programs that invite our community to explore and celebrate the arts. Plus, you’ll play a key role in administering the public art commission competitions, bringing new and innovative works to our campus.
In addition to your artistic endeavors, you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with various University committees, contributing your expertise and passion to the broader TAMU community.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
+ Master’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or related discipline. T
+ Ten years museum experience, curatorial experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Familiarity with collections management software
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with academic museum administration, fundraising and donor development.
+ Knowledge of 19th and 20th century American art.
+ Experience working with public art collections, including care and maintenance.
