You will be responsible for base business supply of commercial Large Molecule (LM) Drug Products (DP) and the leadership of others doing the same. Role leads operations at LM DP CMO relationships to ensure that products are available to meet customer needs, provide the highest quality at the lowest total cost of ownership, and achieve maximum relationship value through accelerated innovation, supplier integration, process improvement, and teamwork!
The external relationships are highly complex in nature and require extensive interaction with key business partners, critical supplier leadership, and other segment/functional leadership. The role coordinates, designs, and allocates specific responsibilities across the team to optimize efficiency and ensure alignment to short- and long-term strategic objectives of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (J&J IM SC) and PES. The role will also lead implementation and leadership of critical initiatives with the CMOs. The role handles a spend that can exceed $100MM.
Key Responsibilities:
+ PEOPLE LEADERSHIP: Lead team to ensure strong results through effective performance management and development planning. Mentor team members to influence outcomes through detailed understanding of drug product operations and the external & internal landscapes.
+ PARTNER MANAGEMENT: Serve as Team leader of Site Leads overseeing external partners, leading Virtual Management Teams in partner management, providing oversight of all activities and financials. Maintain performance metrics and targets with the goal of improving supply, processes, and systems and eliminating redundancies regarding supply, compliance, finance, and strategy. Partner with procurement in agreement negotiations and ensure proper functional inputs.
+ Leads team to handle issue resolution, compliance to supply agreements, and overall cost management including cost reduction opportunities. Define and prioritize, requirements, expectations, results, and partner needs between IM SC functions and partners.
+ TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: Responsible for implementation of new product launches at partners to ensure timely product availability. Run plans related to implementation of product changes. Support the site leads on settling appropriate actions when key issue remain unresolved.
+ STRATEGY: Shape external network & strategy by providing input on the external landscape related to partners and CMOs. Benchmark other J&J and partner companies and industries to identify innovations, continuous improvement, and best in class processes to support PES and business development initiatives. Deeply understand and communicate evolving market opportunities & ensure the team is acting as single point of contact to link & implement pivotal initiatives such as Digital Strategy, Capacity Expansions, and operational excellence at CMOs.
+ PARTNER ASSESSMENT: Assess partners’ capacity and capabilities to support J&I IM SC sourcing initiatives. Lead partner assessment and new product implementation in coordination with overall SC functions, including site visits. Define technology transfer expectations and supply strategy with partners.
**Qualifications**
Education
+ A minimum of bachelor's degree is required; advance degree is helpful
Experience
Required
+ At least 10 years’ experience in the areas of general manufacturing in pharma DP or DS, biologics, or other similarly regulated industries
+ Business management experience (i.e., business development, procurement, value chain management)
+ Knowledge of functions including Quality, MSAT, Finance, Planning and/or Procurement
+ Cross-cultural people and team leadership
+ Understanding of end-to-end supply chain considerations and methods of driving continuous improvement
+ Experience crafting and working with negotiated agreements. Demonstrated strategy development.
+ Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints
+ Prior success in major change role as architect and/or leading implementation
+ Confirmed examples of delivering step function performance improvement while handling risk
+ Flexibility to respond to changes in the external and internal environment
Preferred
+ General Manager supply chain experience
+ Broad knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and specifically Large Molecule manufacturing
+ High level proficiency handling supplier relationships

+ This position requires up to 25% of travel time domestically and internationally
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 146,000 to 251,850.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

+ Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
