Job Description The Director, SPDO provides leadership and direction for 3 key areas of the US patient services organization: Process and Operations Management, Program Governance/PMO Strategic Planning, Risk and Audit management. This role is responsible for developing and driving the roadmap to drive process improvements to provide a superior experience for both internal and external stakeholders. This role works closely with other cross-functional teams to drive program performance, sits on the senior leadership team of the US Patient Services Organization, and is a key contributor to the organization’s performance. Major Responsibilities: + Leads the centralized operations functions to ensure field and marketing operations run effectively + Responsible for the enterprise patient services program data governance capabilities and reporting + Leads the development team to bring tactics to market + Champions and sustains a robust continuous improvement infrastructure allowing near real time program improvements with cross functional collaboration so learnings are shared across the portfolio + Drives strategic project management across key initiatives + Makes key decisions in large scaling projects and serves as representation in strategic integration and execution meetings + Drives the project management function to ensure coordination and thoughtful project planning across and within Patient Services functions + Formulates optimal programs, providing the efficiency necessary to scale patient services across the AbbVie portfolio + Drives teams to ensure that they are providing awareness and knowledge about compliance plans and execution to the relevant Patient Services teams in a proactive and timely manner + Authorizes and approves vendor selection and controls the patient support vendor RFP process + Responsible for making significant contributions to the development resource management strategy and organizational structure of multiple business and/or technology domain. + Builds collaborative relationships and effectively interacts frequently with business and/or technology senior leadership and vice presidents. Interactions focus on top priority project and influencing strategic decisions. Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. + Consistently demonstrate Abbvie's Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes including an enterprise mindset and people leadership. Effectively manages performance, provides timely feedback, appropriately rewards and recognizes valuable achievement, develops talent, and creates a succession pipeline. Understand and execute AbbVie's vision, goals and strategies. This role has accountability for the performance and results strategically important functions. Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry + 15+ years of experience working at a hospital / hospital system, med device company, bio pharma company, managed care organization, and or research and development team + Agile and flexible with regards to changing priorities and business needs + Experience directly working with and reporting to executive leadership + Experience developing and deploying internal systems and platforms + Deep understanding of data governance programs and policies + Experience in creating and sustaining a culture of innovation + Expertise knowledge in project management tactics and tools Additional Information Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: ​ ​ + The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
