Director, People – Strategic Projects

Reporting to Global Vice President of People, the Director People – Strategic Projects will be responsible for the operational management of strategic People team projects, M&A activities, provide HRBP support to business on escalated matters. This role will support HR Leadership, working in collaboration with the People Team, Centers of Excellence (COE)s and potential acquired entities with overall responsibility as follows: 

Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operational management of a transaction from diligence through People integration Serve as HR Project Lead on Company-wide people initiatives /projects spanning talent management, change management, mergers &acquisitions, workforce transformation & planning, Talent Management, HR technology advancement, and employee experience Strategically partners with leaders and key stakeholders to guide M&A due diligence and integration SMEs through the deal lifecycle Due Diligence Leadership: lead and project manage due diligence efforts, representing the company in discussions with target companies to assess cultural and operational alignment, identify integration challenges, and shape strategic recommendations.  Integration Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in addressing complex integration areas, such as employee leveling, organizational design, onboarding, total rewards, data migration, and systems harmonization to achieve a cohesive organizational fit.  Ensure employee experience and synergy creation are at the forefront of diligence & integration planning Supports highly complex deals in various stages of the deal lifecycle; requiring proactive problem solving & needs anticipation in partnership with business and People Leadership team Lead and support People integration activities, guiding and advising SMEs to deliver in accordance with deal strategy & value creation Support identification of critical path plan, key milestones, risks, and considerations for People integration Supporting VP, People, stand up operating mechanisms/rhythms for each deal (e.g., governance, meeting cadence, data access) Document and memorialize key decisions and deals Lead Integration teams and partner closely with the business to ensure smooth integration of new pack members  Drive post-People integration lessons learned and identification of continuous improvement opportunities Coordinate closely with the broader M&A team on change management and communications. Serve as the HR Business Partner for the Asia Pacific region  Support and be a key contributor on Company-wide people initiatives /projects spanning talent management, change management, workforce transformation & planning, Talent Management, HR technology advancement, and employee experience 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Understands the key steps, activities, and work required to move through each phase of the transaction Brings consistency and rigor to the processes and tools that are leveraged in the deal lifecycle Ability to influence in a matrixed environment Ability to work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks 

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience 10+ years of Human Capital/People Team experience 3+ years M&A experience with a focus on Human Capital/People integrations   Project management experience using data and information to make business decisions  Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities Breadth of experience across different lines of business and different types of transaction Self-Starter and takes initiative.  Seeks understanding and clarification to validate understanding Demonstrated track record successfully maintaining and influencing internal and external stakeholder relationships Experience working in complex matrix environment Maintains high degree of confidentiality  M&A experience
