Director, People Business Partner
Guidewire is looking for a Director, People Business Partner to join our People team. What you will get to do as a Director at Guidewire is partner with multiple leaders in the go to market organization at the executive level. They will act as a trusted advisor, business consultant, coach, and change agent. This position will drive and influence global functional initiatives across the People function that serve the ongoing development of our talent and culture at Guidewire. If this sounds like a good fit for you, come join us.What you will do...Understand and translate business goals into holistic, integrated, measurable talent strategies, to be executed across the global enterprise. Lead globally, understanding local nuances through past experience, leaning on appropriate local People Business Partners.Architect talent strategies that are focused on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent and overall business performance.Use data-driven diagnostic tools and processes to develop solutions that continuously improve org effectiveness. Address gaps and emerging skills needs through practical action and use of Degreed and AI tools.Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align our culture and performance with our rewards and reward strategies.Influence the design and lead execution of innovative talent management strategies and processes to develop world-class talent, using organizational design models and action planning.Analyze people data and industry trends; develop proactive solutions to further support business objectivesPartner with key business partners (Finance, Legal, and COE partners) to leverage their support in executing HR strategy and business operations. Ability to lead and support long term change initiatives in a complex organizational transition.What are we looking for...Business Acumen: Expert knowledge and direct experience partnering with transformative professional services and go to market teams. Strategic Consultation: proven ability to develop and execute solutions to business challenges and to influence strategic business decisionsRelationship Management: Ability to collaborate and proactively partner with cross-functional teams across the globe.Data Judgement:Extensive experience partnering with and influencing Executive leaders and leadership teams through data-driven analytics and strategic consultation.Talent Management: Strategic HR Expertise, Employee Experience Management, Technological Savviness, using best in class tools like Workday, Google suites, Zoom and social media Agility: Not afraid to get scrappy and iterate, while building long term enterprise solutions. Global experience in leading virtual teams for short term and long term wins.Design and implement organizational transformation in partnership with Senior executives. Consultation and presentations skills (creating, presenting and editing) are a standard of operating within the business partnering role.   Global Travel will be required within the USA and outside to align with business needs and the HR team meetings during the year.Experience working in a fast paced, global, and preferably scaled organization. Critical Success Factors...Experience in partnering and leading organizational transition short term and long term.Comfort with Google suite of tools, Guidewire products, and WorkdayMaster Degree(MBA, MOD) or experience to showcase ability to execute in role with teams is a must.Certification in team effectiveness tools, executive development models and frameworks are welcomed.$173,000 - $232,000 a yearOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
