POSITION SUMMARY The Director, Physician Clinics is responsible for all aspects of operational efficiency for employed physician clinics to ensure high quality patient care and maximized fiscal benefit to the health center. Reports to VP of Clinic Operations. Responsibilities Responsible for establishing and maintaining budgetary standards and guidelines to ensure effective fiscal management of all employed physician clinics. Develops and implements methods that enhance productivity and control staffing, coordinates with leadership regarding addition of new potential revenue sources and makes on-going adjustments to financial operations to ensure that operating targets are defined and within the overall operation budget. Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of quality standards for all clinics to ensure a high standard of patient care. Coordinates the activities of the clinic management and quality assurance nurse on all regulatory compliance issues to include, but not limited to OSHA and JCAHO. Works with providers and coding auditors to ensure appropriate charting for patient visits, regularly monitors and analyzes clinical/practice operations data, and identifies risk management issues by promptly investigating problems and complaints to improve the department overall. Responsible for establishment of leadership goals and objectives for clinic leadership members to ensure positive direction and growth for employed clinics. Coordinates with clinic managers on growth opportunities, completed performance appraisals for employees, and works with physician leadership entities to identify and work toward clinical goals. Assumes overall responsibility for operational management of employed provider offices by working with immediate supervisor in support of operational initiatives, actively supporting the Organizational Responsibility Program (ORP), and monitoring clinic operations to determine opportunities for improvement in patient services and business functions. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree required; Graduate degree in related field, preferred. 5 years experience in direct outpatient operations. Knowledge of outpatient operations and financial experience to ensure dynamic growth for the St. Francis Campus.
