Director, Portfolio Management Support - P&C Results Delivery Office

Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. **The Opportunity** As a dedicated **Director, Portfolio Management Support for the P&C Results Delivery Office** , you will lead, motivate, and provide direction and oversight to teams responsible for governing CoSA or local portfolios. You will support a team of business architects, change partners, agile SMEs, and business analysts, driving the translation of the strategic plan into executable initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of high-benefit P&C investments. Responsibilities include overseeing portfolio priorities and budget, managing risks and dependencies, and partnering with executives and stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and effective delivery of work, maximizing benefits realization. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position will be based in San Antonio, TX office. Relocation assistance is **not** available for this position. **What you'll do:** + Oversees, governs and is accountable for low to moderately complex CoSA or local portfolios. + Ensures completion of governance routines by the team members. + Oversees the portfolio on a continual basis to resolve and disseminate information to stakeholders. + Identifies and escalates to the COSA Portfolio Management Office (CPMO) or leadership team systemic cross-work risks / issues and interdependency conflicts. + Identifies risk to overall portfolio and escalates to CPMO or leadership team issues as needed. + Ensures effective financial resource management of overall portfolio, assisting in managing portfolio expenses to achieve business value. + Monitors work efforts for stale/epics projects and need for resolution, including termination proposal if applicable. + Works with Enterprise Integrated Planning (EIP) on prioritization and sequencing of work efforts within portfolio, as applicable. + Monitors and recommends pertinent to scope changes as needed. + Reviews and resolves risk and issue escalations for portfolio, identifies need for escalations as needed. + Communicates regularly with Executive Sponsors, Program Sponsors, business owners, and additional stakeholders as required. + Establishes and manages critical path by mapping out and managing work effort scheduling and interdependencies based on constraints and risks. + Reviews health and performance of team’s portfolios regularly and identifies performance improvement opportunities that is shared with support team as key stakeholders. + Monitors team’s portfolio success via recognized methodologies i.e. outcomes, key results, etc. + Drives adoption and sustainment of changes within organization in compliance with USAA’s Change Management methodology. + Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. **What you have:** + Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree. + 8 years of progressive program or portfolio management experience to include process improvement and/or consulting for large strategic efforts to include 2 years’ experience leading across complex organizational lines in a matrix structure. + 3 years of direct team lead or management experience. + Advanced understanding of project, program, and portfolio management and principles. + Highly proficient in the full life cycle experience managing strategic and operational work efforts. + Experience on portfolio management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. + Currently possesses at least one of the following: Certified Project Manager (CPM), Lean Portfolio Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or gain one within 6 months of placement. **What sets you apart:** + Understands the principles of Business Architecture and Change Management and has demonstrated learning agility to expand knowledge quickly. + Understands the principles of an Agile mindset. + Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to design, build and transform a high performing team. + Demonstrated proficiency influencing and creating executive communications; ability to present data to tell a story and drive decision making. + Experience leading large scale, transformational change to deliver intended results and outcomes. + Innovative leader that looks for ways to leverage technology solutions to deliver skill sets. + US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner. **Compensation range:** The salary range for this position is: $ 127,310.00 - $243,340.00 **.** **Compensation:** USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
