What is the opportunity? 

As the Director, Process Engineering for Transformation and Enterprise Operations (TEO), you will lead the team that provides the Cash, Payments & Trade (PTO) and Finance Shared Services (FSS) Operations, and Process Owners, with Process Engineering expertise.

If you have the experience, confidence and skill to work in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, to impact, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders and be considered a strategic advisor and thought leader in the delivery of process reengineering and large programs, this role is for you!

In this role you will shape the transformation and redesign of TEO processes, through the design and delivery of a future state vision, a strategic roadmap and a repeatable and effective process engineering design practice, informed by organizational and industry best practices.

You will lead a fast-paced and dynamic team in delivering optimized and enhanced business processes, collaborating with senior leadership and teams across the organization to streamline our operations and implement strong business models. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations teams, encouraging proactive problem-solving and new ways of working.

You will collaborate with TEO and Technology partners to implement AI, GenAI and other efficiency-enabling tools and products, to optimize processes and performance, prioritizing opportunities for redesign through data and insights and ensuring effective adoption of new enhancements.

What will you do?

Lead the design, development and stand-up of the Process Engineering Practice for Transformation and Enterprise Operations (TEO), to deliver operations transformation.Lead a team of process engineers, analysts and enablement experts in end-to-end process transformation, and the application of digital products to key processes. Ensure optimization, efficiency, client experience, resiliency, risk/compliance adherence, and a consistency in the delivery of transformation initiatives for Operations. Provide strategic direction and thought leadership in the development of an integrated roadmap for the implementation of AI/GenAI/Digital Solution enhancements on TEO processes. Conduct analysis, and collaborate across Operations and LOB groups, to identify and build business cases for transformation opportunities, with emphasis on initiatives which reduce risk, improve the client experience and streamline/ simplify/ digitize/ automate business processes. Enable large enterprise programs and high-impact partner initiatives which align with business objectives and the bank's strategic growth.Partner to drive the adoption of the designed automation and digital transformation tools. Ensure successful launches, seamless implementation and operational integration of projects and initiatives, including applicable training, communication and change management requirements to maximize adoption.Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry experts, technology leaders and organizational thought leaders, to retain advanced process engineering insights to identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure systems and processes are well-integrated and scalable, particularly in regard to core banking systems, reporting platforms, and compliance tools.

What do you need to succeed? 

Must-have:

Demonstrated experience in process engineering, design, optimization, ownership and automation, as well as operational management or large-scale continuous improvement programs.Demonstrated experience with financial services processes such as banking operations, transaction processing, regulatory compliance, risk management, and client servicing.Ability to think strategically, articulate complex challenges, and develop and execute on strategic initiatives at all levels of the organization.Keen interest in technology as an enabler to operations, and an ability to derive actionable insights from complex data, with a proven skillset in conceptual and analytic problem solving.Demonstrated ability to prioritize for impact, and a capacity to lead and manage numerous initiatives at once. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on time, while working with stakeholders to ensure prioritization meets needs.Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, partnered with a strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Word and ExcelHighly collaborative and able to thrive in a matrixed environment, with the ability to impact, influence and negotiate with key senior stakeholders

Nice-to-have:

A strong understanding of Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Payments, Trade, Cash or Financial Shared Services businessBachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a matrixed environment, with the ability to impact, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders,Project management skills or cross-functional program leadershipExperience with new/emerging businesses and digital business models
