This role is responsible for transforming and leading the Quality and Engineering departments and their associated processes. This role is accountable for proactively identifying, planning and deploying Operational quality & Engineering programs, organizing, mentoring and leading the team activities across the site. This job is responsible for providing process engineering guidance, leadership, tactical execution. Oversight of the building facilities and the implementation of new processes to meet our client requirements and support site business goals. Primary objectives will be to implement and improve efficient Value-Added Services. The business environment within which this leader and department will operate is one of zero tolerance by our clients for any quality issues. Work includes adherence with client contracts, partnership work with client audit organizations, and proactive measurement and identification of internal results and practices that will move the organization’s operational performance to the next level. The position collaborates closely with site senior leaders Account Managers, other DCC leaders, and other team members/stakeholders which may include clients. Lastly, the position is accountable to Sr. leadership, managers, clients, vendors, associates and internal support organizations to report, discuss and partner on results to drive exceptional quality, world-class engineering and customer results and to institute a mindset of change.
This is an onsite role in our Irving TX facility.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Critical member of leadership team focused on driving down cost and improving performance while keeping our clients engaged Develops, secures approval of, and administers an operating budget for attainment of agreed upon goals in accordance with approved plans Serves as a liaison with account management, resolving any operational, system, client and product issues that may arise Develops relationship with customer counterparts to drive operational results in engineering and quality Provide transformational leadership to 100+ team members creating a World Class team with high credibility, results, and capacity to drive change within and across the organization Mentor and develop the engineering and quality teams Develops, directs and monitors short-term and long-range business plans and goals consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the company that establishes operational standards for cost control Responsible for the provision of services in engineering including (but not limited too); development, installation, and provide support of new and existing engineering and automation processes, development and implementation of new product introduction processes, new repair/logistics process development, development of client/product implementation system support, and customer service Leveraging Lean 6 Sigma principles for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing repair, logistics, and quality assurance programs Collaborate with and support product development teams to assist with new product development and process modifications Create and/or modify processes to allow for the processing and servicing of new accounts and products, as well as improving existing processes when practical and cost effective Drive continuous improvement process across organization to improve UPH and yields Oversee the Quality Systems with overall responsibility for the document/records management, LEAN process management, auditing and CAPA management, and Customer Liaison/Communications Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of quality assurance standards, processes, and controls Work with the other Lean teams to facilitate lean training and initiatives at the site Leads, develops, and directs staff responsible for the management and performance of Quality Control, Auditing and CAPA Management based on client, regulatory and internal requirements Works with other departments to accomplish audit and CAPA projects Work with the other site leaders to facilitate changes recommend by Corporate Compliance team Lead DCC NPI (New Product Introduction) activities Acting as the central point of contact for the site to communicate, track and monitor the introduction of new products to the production area Act as primary interface with the customer on understanding their New Product Introduction Roadmap as well as driving needed customer deliverables for a successful product launch Working across multiple organization groups several of the key activities and deliverables will be: BOM Setup, Golden Samples, Material sourcing/approval, System setup, Test support, work Instructions for all operations, Kitting Work Instructions, Box labeling format, and First Article InspectionWhat are the requirements needed for this position?
8+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex engineering, quality, electronics, product development and test operations within electronics industry 5+ years of prior management experience leading teams of 40+ people 5+ years of progressive management/supervisory responsibility with proven success at managing complex processes, demanding stakeholders with effective results 5+ years of Experience in auditing responsibilities, insurance systems, and/or end to end operations processes in a complex environment with a strong knowledge of company products and services 5+ years' of demonstrated problem-resolution skills System, technical, and applied knowledge Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced, high-volume, and team-based environment Ability to drive execution and meet required deadlines Ability to develop, write, and manage policies and procedures Possess strong influencing, negotiating, and relationship building skills Ability to deliver timely and valuable feedback to others Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience Problem solving ability and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities and priorities to meet organizational goals Able to plan and implement an AuditWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Master’s degree in engineering Internal Auditor Certification preferred (ASQ, IIA, CIA) Black Belt certified preferred MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and complex spreadsheets in Excel Minitab, Raosoft or other statistical software Query applications, i.e., Access, Cognos, SQL, etc. preferredPay Range
$141,400.00 - $236,100.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
