Director, Process to Pay

Job Summary

Financial Shared Services is hiring a new leader to be Director - Process to Pay. The Financial Shared Service Organization (FSSO) is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The FSSO team drives value for the organization through accuracy and efficiency in high-volume transactional processes. This position will be accountable for leading the Payroll and Accounts Payable functions for the enterprise.

 

This role reports to the Sr. Director – Financial Shared Services & Global Shared Services Operations and is integral in providing strategic leadership for the Process to Pay function to drive global process transformation in our transactional processing activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with implementing global technology solutions (Financial and/or HCM technology), demonstrated success in leading process optimization, and a strong understanding of full cycle procure to pay and payroll functions.  

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for leading Vail Resorts’ global accounts payable and payroll operations Identify opportunities across Process to Pay to facilitate process optimization, resource efficiency, and automation Act as a point of escalation for both internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely remediation and communication Partner with relevant stakeholders from various departments, including Operations, IT, Finance, and HR, to lead change management initiatives and system implementations, including enterprise HCM/Payroll technology replacement project Provide subject matter expert guidance for integration of mergers and acquisitions, implementation of new systems, processes or technology, and ad-hoc projects  Publish Key Performance Indicators and provide detailed analytics to drive performance insights and maintain expected service levels Plan and monitor multiple projects simultaneously to ensure team deliverables meet business objectives Maintain a controlled process environment, ensure timely completion of tasks, identify and mitigate risk in processes Ensure compliance to SOX and Vail Resorts’ internal control framework, providing support for month-end close activities, audits and reconciliations as needed Develop leadership skills in others by coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing and reinforcing best practices Demonstrate positive and professional attitude towards staff, co-workers, internal and external customers, and management

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting; MBA or MS strongly preferred 5+ years leadership/management experience leading a highly efficient team Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in-person meetings. Deep curiosity and passion for understanding and analyzing financial results in the context of creating shareholder value. Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop the “story” and form recommendations. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong initiative and ability to multi-task. Superb attention to detail balanced by the ability to focus on the "big picture." Effectively manage and build capabilities and culture for a high-performing professional team.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $151,000 - $165,000 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
