**What you'll be doing**
As a member of CIBC’s team, the Director, LOS Product Owner will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives on a Loan Originations System and related tools. You’ll be exercising a high degree of independent judgement, providing leadership and setting strategic direction for LOS solution, the definition, development, and launching of features and functionality on the LOS product and exercising authority to make decisions about the deliverables to achieve benefits realization . As a Director, you’ll develop and maintain internal relationships across the organization, including negotiating and influencing opinion. In addition, you’ll provide sophisticated analysis of complex business information and makes comprehensive recommendations to management including executives and business leaders. You’ll drive innovation across areas of responsibility, apply expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Strategy and Planning –** Contribute to long-term strategy for the business in collaboration with the Senior Director and other business leaders. Perform in-depth analysis for the purpose of identifying opportunities, developing strategic proposals and competitive strategies and targets the product offering with the objective of increasing business revenue, competitiveness, growing market share and reducing operational costs. Collaborate with internal partners to oversee, communicate, and align business plans and ensure delivery on strategy and plans. You will work with high degree of independence and have the ability to influence and communicate with senior and executive stakeholders (business, operations, technology).
+ **Product Development -** Lead and provide direction to product team members. Oversee development options and proposals related to development or enhancements of specific products or services, assessing the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes, and making authoritative recommendations. Responsible for the overall design, development and implementation of new products and product plans. Accountable for the planning and delivery of enhancements and fixes specific to client-facing applications. Contribute to the creation of business cases for new initiatives and enhancements.
+ **Continuous Improvement -** You will identify ways to improve processes so that they are lean and efficient, while meeting business delivery requirements. Identify ways to continually improve and enhance quality standards, while ensuring compliance and adherence to established processes, policies, standards and guidelines. You will identify opportunities to lower/avoid costs and manage your team's financials, including leading the budgeting/forecasting process.
+ **People Management -** Lead, motivate and coach on an on-going basis. Identify gaps and remove obstacles to performance, develop action plans to align with business priorities. Create a positive work environment and role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values. Comply with policies, standards, guidelines and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect. Hire the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goals. Manage performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance, and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities.Build team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training.
**Who you are**
+ **You have strong leadership and change management skills.** A ‘roll up your sleeves’ and ‘can do’ attitude. Ability to inspire and influence across large organizations to gain alignment and support on recommended product management tactics and strategies. Proven ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
+ **You can demonstrate extensive experience in** product management, strategic planning, and project management sufficient to identify, develop, and implement approved initiatives (experience preferably in financial services). You have a proven track record as an LOS product owner, with experience in workflow design, vendor due diligence, solution design and implementation. You have strong analytical, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation skills sufficient to prepare and present material to an executive audience.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $195K - $225K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
