Overview

The mandate of Community Pass, a social impact enterprise, is to deliver digital solutions to low-income segments and markets. Community Pass addresses the needs of private, public, and development sector organizations that serve (or seek to serve) these segments. We leverage our digital technology and innovate new business models to digitalize essential services. By digitally including rural and marginalized communities, the Community Pass platform enables service providers to reach these communities more efficiently and effectively. Service providers can include banks, insurance companies, agtechs, fintechs, NGOs, governments, or any other public, private, or development sector organization that seeks to provide a service to an individual or small business in a low-income community. By so doing, we go well beyond Mastercard’s traditional payments remit, and critically, increase our reach to the 1+ billion previously unserved consumers in low-income segments.


Credit Enablement is one the vertical products offered as part of Community Pass. The purpose of the Director, Product Management – Credit Enablement is to support the work for the Credit Enablement product: becoming a sector subject matter expert, understanding competitor offerings and stakeholder needs, developing a product strategy, developing product business requirements, go to market and commercial model and taking the product through the full Studio process to be ready to pilot and scale.

Role
•\tUnderstand landscape, needs, pain points and drivers of stakeholders BOP stakeholders as related to payments to become the subject matter expert
•\tRefresh Credit Enablement strategy based on this expertise and market insights as needed
•\tOwn continued enhancement of the current Credit Enablement product to deliver value to customers by meeting their needs and solving their pain points
•\tOversee identification of product and solution requirements and quality documentation. Take the the Credit Enablement product through full Studio process as required. Ensure roadmap is comprehensive, up to date and fully socialized. Ensure continued product competitiveness
•\tPartner with the Community Pass Stakeholders to develop robust product requirements that are delivered by O&T resourcing to enhance both the Credit Enablement product and Community Pass platform offering
•\tDevelop go-to-market strategy with non-traditional partners of Mastercard and with Mastercard licensed clients and support sales colleagues in partner discussions
•\tOwn sustainable commercial model including business case and pricing that works for all stakeholders and continue to refresh as the Credit Enablement product and GTM approach evolves
•\tEnsure comprehensive and up to date product collateral exists including template legal agreements, pricing manuals and customer facing documentation
•\tSupport the sales and partnership effort by engaging stakeholders and partners as the product subject matter expert and clearly articulate product value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•\tLiaise with rest of Community Pass team to develop and deliver the Credit Enablement through partners and markets, and with other business functions across Mastercard

•\tPassionate about transforming lives at the Base of the Pyramid consumers, with an ability to uncover needs and design features to serve this unique segment
•\tKnowledge of payments industry
•\tProven experience launching and scaling new product deployments, with sustainable commercial models
•\tAbility to engage high level stakeholders and partners in support of sales activities
•\tDemonstrated ability to work within and across geographic boundaries within a matrix environment, comfortable with fast and fluid environments, good team player and manager
•\tExperience operating across complex ecosystems and with technology teams is advantageous
