The Director of Product Commercialization and Education, Sound, will lead the strategic and commercial marketing efforts for our Sound business, including leadership of the Academy of Veterinary Imaging (AVI). This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of veterinary diagnostics and digital marketing tools. Strategies and actions should be designed and executed with clear alignment to the company’s ultrasound business metrics, and goal of an outstanding customer experience.

Market Analysis and Research

Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth. Utilize this data to inform and refine marketing strategies.Engage with practicing veterinarians and corporate veterinary groups to understand their needs and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.

Strategic Marketing Development

Develop strategies to effectively compete against major industry players, identifying unique selling points and value propositions.Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Sound, focusing on market growth and penetration.

Marketing Plan Creation and Execution:

Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive marketing plans for SoundThis involves setting clear objectives, defining target audiences, determining marketing channels and tactics, allocating budgets, and measuring the effectiveness of these plans in achieving business goals.Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.

Cross Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Communications

Serve as center point of all communication, planning, and execution around products in the portfolio.Work closely with Capital Equipment and Products, Preventive Care Research and Development, Sales/Sales Enablement, Marketing/marcomm, National Accounts and Senior leadership audiences to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with product development and sales goals.Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including presentations to executive teams and participation in industry events.             

Lead Academy of Veterinary Imaging (AVI)

Provide overall structure and direction to the Education Services staff in preparation and during customer facing educational course. Collaborate with the organization to assess, create, and implement growth and customer experience strategies for the Academy of Veterinary Imaging (AVI).Oversee training curriculum for course offerings; determines appropriate instructional methodologies and formats (web, classroom, self -directed); evaluates and recommends third party instructors/speakers as appropriate to meet overall goals and objectives of each course as outlined.Evaluate current courses to ensure relevant and learning opportunities that have positive impact for the veterinary ultrasound community. Propose course updates and need analyses based on business metrics, course capacity and structured attendee feedback.Manage monthly equipment and supplies inventory to 100% accuracy target and budget.Manage the Academy team including staffing, training, discipline, performance management and attendance.  Manage hourly employee and contractor costs according to budget.Customer Logistics: Coordinate the process of customer course registrations, correspondence, course capacity, and lodging. Maintain an up to date CRM record for each customer.Staff Logistics:  Proactively create and maintain staff scheduling proportionate to individual course capacity and attendance.  Coordinate staff hotel arrangements at corporate rate. Create and distribute course agenda to staff with times and/or needed coverage per course. Establish and maintain course and staff metrics/ records.Work with Medical Director to maintain up to date RACE certifications for each course.Evaluate and update processes for AVI staffing, supplies, customer experience.Work with Operations team to establish or update any building maintenance contracts.Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and positivity.

Manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to achieve program goals and deliver a strong return on investment.
