Director, Product Operations & Lifecycle Management

We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs. **About the Role** The NAS organization has been building a program to drive more efficiency and productivity to how we develop, deliver and deploy products and capabilities. This role will lead the evolution of the initiative, as we move from an end-to-end product governance framework into a sustainable program that is integrated across the NAS product lifecycle. The incumbent will work across NAS teams, as well as with critical stakeholders in Control Management and Technology to improve our product processes, clarify roles & responsibilities and drive adoption of the product lifecycle program. Reporting to the Director will be 2 Senior Managers focused on documenting and enhancing our processes to drive consistency, as well as creating communications & learning initiatives to drive program roll out. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the creation of Key Process Indicators and metrics to support continuous improvement. **How will you make an impact in this role?** * Drive the roll out of the E2E Product Governance program ensuring the adoption & adaption to drive outcomes. * Work across Leaders to design communications & learning strategies to support collaboration, awareness of the program and skill development that will drive the products our customers need, delivered consistently & efficiently. * Build relationships & collaborate across NAS teams and Enterprise stakeholders to continuously improve the program, adapting it to reflect best practices. * Coordinate across the Program Management team to help build the best tools and controls that support the program. * Help to identify and report on KPI’s that support the Program’s success. * Build a high performing team. **Minimum Qualifications** + Strong program & project management – ability to gather information, develop a strategy and execute against deadlines + Experience implementing Change Management programs, specifically in a Product Organization would be a bonus. + Understanding of the Product Management process within Amex, as well as the elements of the Product Lifecycle from design to delivery to deployment. + Excellent relationship management, with the ability to work across teams and bands to identify insights and drive adoption of the program. + Effective communicator and influencer: Ability to influence key partners and executive stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade audiences. + Ability to work in white space and ambiguity, comfortable with building something unproven.A consulting mindset to ask the right questions that leads to strategies and execution plans to achieve objectives. + Exceptional problem-solving skills and developing business recommendations and using analytics to drive business decisions + Ability to handle multiple work streams and ad-hoc tasks simultaneously. **Qualifications** Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
