We are seeking an experienced and results-driven **Director of Program Management (agile/scrum)** to lead and oversee IT programs and initiatives with a strong focus on Agile and Scrum methodologies. This leadership role will involve managing cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects, and driving the adoption of Agile principles across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional program management skills, deep expertise in Agile frameworks, and the ability to inspire and lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** _Program Leadership_ + Define, plan, and manage the successful execution of complex IT programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. + Oversee the coordination of multiple Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget. _Agile and Scrum Methodology_ + Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile and Scrum methodologies across the IT teams and the enterprise to produce scalable solutions, that deliver immediate value to a minimum viable product and can evolve over time. + Serve as an Agile coach and mentor, fostering a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and innovation. + Ensure consistent application of Agile practices such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. _Stakeholder Management_ + Partner with business leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to define program objectives and deliverables. + Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders. + Manage stakeholder expectations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment on priorities. _Team Leadership and Development_ + Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing program management team. + Foster an environment of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. _Risk and Issue Management_ + Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful program outcomes. + Develop contingency plans to address challenges and ensure program continuity. _Metrics and Reporting_ + Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success. + Provide regular updates on program performance, progress, and resource utilization. _Process Improvement_ + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program delivery efficiency and effectiveness. + Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in Agile and program management. **Minimum Education and/or Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). + 10+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. + Proven expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a track record of leading Agile transformations. + Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). + Project management certifications such as PMP or PgMP (preferred). + Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. + Experience in IT infrastructure, software development, or digital transformation projects. **Additional knowledge and skills:** + Exceptional leadership and team management skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. + Comfortable in highly dynamic and frequently ambiguous environments. + Strategic thinking and analytical skills. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex and competing priorities. + Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
