Director, Programs - Proposals
**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring a Proposal Program Director for our Ground Maneuver (GM) Product Line efforts supporting our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Ground Maneuver Proposal Program Director, reporting to the Ground Maneuver Product Line Leader, is accountable for the oversight of our Ground Maneuver proposals for both the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) and Bradley programs within the Ground Maneuver Product Line. In this role you will manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a collection of proposals. You will ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company. You will be responsible for strategy maintenance and goal setting for the portfolio to grow this portion of the business. You will also model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety, quality, and security. The Proposal Program Director will utilize expertise in project management through the management of large and complex projects. Location/Schedule/Travel: + This position will ideally be based in York, Pennsylvania or Sterling Heights, Michigan. However, consideration will be made for other CMS sites. + This is a Hybrid Onsite/Remote role where you will work onsite on average 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week, based on business needs. + This position will involve 25% of travel, on average one week each month, based on business needs. Responsibilities: + Improve the proposal process to reduce overall proposal cycle time + Provide oversight/guidance to current contract and future contract captures + Ensure internal integration and synergies between assigned programs and other common programs in the GM product line + Ensure program alignment with Operational Excellence and P3O initiatives and prompt new initiatives as needed + Identify and coordinate efforts with other BAE Systems business units + Drive issues to resolution through functional teams + Identify best practices across the business and implement into the GM portfolio as appropriate + Drive a portfolio approach with the customer as single point of entry to the BAE Systems GM proposals + Manage and drive a portfolio strategy that ensures growth of the portfolio + Support GM Product Line Leader with staffing efforts and reporting requirements **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s Degree and 12 years of experience in Program Management with the ability to manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects or equivalent experience + Experience in Program/Portfolio Leadership within a large, complex, multi-functional, geographically dispersed organization + Experience in People Management/Leadership with the ability to foster an inclusive workplace in which all individuals thrive and perform at their best + Strong business acumen enabling achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives + Demonstrated ability to recommend and execute a strategic vision through two business cycles + Ability to drive performance, operational excellence, and cultural change in a business + Ability to lead, manage, and influence stakeholders + Executive presence and ability to represent the enterprise internally at senior levels and externally to senior level customers and suppliers + Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior level leaders, customers, and suppliers **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + MBA and PMP certified + Experience in Product Development and Production Program Management for Combat Vehicles + Experience in Program Controls, Performance Management, KPIs, Metrics, EVMS, and/or CAM + Experience in Competitive Proposal Leadership or Capture Management + Experience in USG/Army acquisition, planning, budgeting, and requirements + Ability to lead and influence through proactive approaches and long-term strategies + Ability to creatively problem-solve and implement lessons learned + Ability to drive change to advance program objectives and market competitiveness + Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one + Understanding of USG acquisition, planning, and budgeting processes + Understanding of USG requirements process **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
