Director, Provider Relations (California)
**Job Description** **Job Summary** Responsible for leading provider network operations, contracting support, policies and procedures, and provider communications. Oversees Managers and Specialists to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements while aligning with Molina Healthcare’s mission and strategic goals. Partners with network contracting, operations, government contracts, compliance, and systems teams to drive operational excellence, regulatory alignment, and effective communication with the provider community. **Job Duties** Serves in a Director-level, multi-faceted leadership role with responsibility across network operations, network contracting, network policies and procedures, and provider communications. Requires demonstrated experience and understanding of provider network operations and contracting, particularly as they relate to regulatory and compliance requirements. Provides strategic leadership and direction to a team of Managers and Specialists, with a strong preference for prior experience leading Manager-level staff to ensure effective oversight, accountability, and professional development. Partners closely with network contracting, operations, government contracts, network compliance, and systems teams to ensure all provider network operations align with state and federal regulatory requirements. Provides leadership in the development, documentation, and implementation of provider contracting standards, regulatory compliance processes, and health plan network policies and procedures. Oversees provider communications strategy, ensuring consistent, clear, and compliant communications to contracted providers across all lines of business. Works cross-functionally with network management, operations, and compliance leaders to support strategic initiatives, implement best practices, and align business processes across the health plan. Provides input and support on provider contracting activities, including regulatory review, contract standards, and integration of new requirements into operational workflows. Ensures compliance with health plan requirements, government program standards, and network access regulations through effective oversight and collaboration with internal stakeholders. **Job Qualifications** **REQUIRED EDUCATION** : • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate/equivalent experience in provider services or contract network development and management in a managed healthcare setting. **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES** : • 7+ years’ experience servicing individual and groups of physicians, hospitals, integrated delivery systems, and ancillary providers with Medicaid and/or Medicare products • 7+ years’ experience in managed healthcare administration. • Experience demonstrating working familiarity with various managed healthcare provider compensation methodologies, primarily across Medicare or Medicaid lines of business, including but not limited to: fee-for service, capitation and delegation models, and various forms of risk, ASO, agreements, etc. • Experience with preparing and presenting formal presentations. • 2+ years in a direct or matrix leadership position • Min. 2 years experience managing/supervising employees. **PREFERRED EDUCATION** : Master’s Degree in Health or Business related field **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE** : • 7+ years managed healthcare administration experience. • Specific experience in provider services, operations, and/or contract negotiations in a Medicare and Medicaid managed healthcare setting, ideally with different provider types (e.g., physician, groups and hospitals).
