HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Director, Quality Data and Analytics. This person will lead the strategy for managing quality data to achieve top performance and outcomes. They will implement best practices to support and improve quality reporting across the HealthPartners care group. The Director will ensure compliance with all regulatory and public reporting requirements. The role requires knowledge of healthcare data, data analysis methods, reporting tools, and experience in hospital and clinic operations. The Director will collaborate with leaders from various departments, including operations, clinical, data ops, IT, coding, and finance, to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
This director will be a pivotal member of the quality leadership team, playing a crucial role in upholding and enhancing our standards of excellence. The position will oversee 2-3 direct reports and be accountable for 17-20 individuals across the department.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health administration, health informatics, nursing, science, or other health care related field. Strongly preferred - Master’s degree in health care management, health informatics, statistics, mathematics, finance, epidemiology, or related field preferred. Five (5) years’ experience in developing and using data for health care management related to data abstraction, data analysis, health information systems-Epic preferred, quality measurement and management. Five (5) years’ experience in hospital operations; minimum five years leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and build a high performing team. Critical thinker with strong analytical skills around data and measurement; attention to detail and excellent follow-through Ability to build credibility, establish rapport, influence, and effectively communicate across multiple stakeholders. Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment Responsive and nimble in prioritizing and allocating resources to solve the most pressing problems in a timely and professional manner. Oversee the CMS Hospital Quality Reporting Program measures, ensuring hospital compliance and timely submission. Subject matter expert on programs with knowledge of quality initiatives including current as well as proposed measures. Ensures program visibility and reporting transparency for leadership. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of regulatory reporting requirements for CMS, MDH, Joint Commission and other external organizations as required. Tracks and trends performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide consultation on quality metrics and performance management of external programs including MNCM, MACRA, MIPS, ACO, Patient Reported Outcomes, Payer contracts, etc. Lead the design and implementation of measurement strategies to support quality measurement for both internal and external performance reporting including CMS, MDH, Joint Commission, MNCM and value-based care contracts. Develop and implement data strategies and standards for the intake, prioritization, build and visualization of quality data across the care group for improving patient care and outcomes. Ensures source of truth reporting, high reliability, and easy access to information. Facilitate the annual review and goal setting for all quality measures based on established methodologies. Responsible for all quality board level and executive scorecards. Maintain and supports processes, methods, and tools to be used for planning, measurement, analysis, and quality improvement. Interprets, analyzes, and translates quality management data and information to determine trends and make recommendations to various levels of management regarding conclusions and solutions to identified issues. Responsible for the supervision of staff, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward, and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Manage team resources to meet multiple customer needs and expectations by understanding objectives for needed information, triaging customers’ requests, assigning appropriate resources, problem solving and removing barriers. Develop collaborative and integrated relationships with Data Operations, Informatics, Epic, Finance and Coding to align data into meaningful and actionable reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
