Job Description:
The Director for Radiology Services reports to the Vice President, Regional Hospitals and Health System Strategy and is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for designated operational and management activities in the following areas within the assigned departments and campuses: practice, operations, budget planning and management, project management, facility interfaces, as well as internal and external communications. The Director for Radiology Services assists in the patient care delivery system development and operations across clinical enterprise, collaborating effectively with physicians and other members of the health care team. The position provides cohesive management, supervision, and leadership in the assigned areas of services, including services offered in our clinics and all campuses within the Health System (HS), by closely communicating with staff, Medical Directors and peers, HS Operations, Academic Enterprise (AE) Operations implementing the visions and directions provided by them, and advising them of plans and initiatives based on clinical experience and knowledge in services and day-to-day observation in the areas.
Scope: UTMB Hospitals and Clinics at all clinical sites throughout the UTMB Health System. The Director for Radiology Services has responsibilities for all service areas including X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, CT and Nuclear Medicine and providing diagnostic vascular testing in a matrix environment.

This includes specifics of changes in radiology practice. Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field Six years of experience including three years of experience within a large academic healthcare institution and five years supervisory experience.
