**What you’ll be doing**
The mandate of Enterprise Real Estate & Workplace Transformation is to create a forward-looking global workplace experience across our enterprise portfolio, including the purposeful design of our new global headquarters at CIBC Square, to enable us to attract and retain the best people, further evolve our culture and put our clients at the centre of all that we do.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Real Estate Planning, Transformation & Governance, the Director, Real Estate Management, will support the Lease Management workstream on the CIBC Square program. Your responsibilities will include managing the lease governance process for the CIBC Square program, ensuring the timely delivery of all associated deliverables, leading governance meetings, and preparing comprehensive materials for regular Executive briefings. In this role, you will collaborate effectively with various program workstreams, internal teams and external partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing options and recommendations for key lease management decisions, adhering to the CIBC Square program decision and change management process, and assisting in formulating negotiation strategies that align with business objectives. You will also support the Senior Director in other real estate management activities and programs as required.

**How you’ll succeed**
+ **Lease Management** – Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of lease agreements, terms and conditions. Manage the completion of lease management activities for CIBC Square collaborating with external partners and internal stakeholders.
+ **Strategy & Negotiation** – Demonstrate expertise in managing complex lease management issues and developing negotiation strategies. Conduct thorough analysis of issues, collaborate closely with executives and key partners to identify potential solutions, and secure necessary authorizations.
+ **Relationship Management** – Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, program workstreams, and both internal and external partners.
+ **Project Management** –Create and maintain accurate records, including governance meeting minutes, program-level reports, risk and issue logs, and change and decision management forms. Ensure that all necessary artifacts and documents are complete, accurate and properly maintained in required repositories.
+ **Communication & Storytelling** – Prepare impactful presentation and briefing materials for executive-level audiences. Demonstrate the ability to convey complex topics and issues clearly and concisely, ensuring effective messaging that resonates with stakeholders.
