Director, Regional Location Strategy and Development Lead, Cloud

Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Public Policy, Finance, Real Estate, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. + 15 years of experience building and executing asset strategies in the context of the Americas region. Preferred qualifications: + Experience in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, industrial class electrical and cooling technology, or other related areas of technical expertise. + Experience in collocation agreements, site selection for industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements management, energy challenges, implementing clean energy initiatives, or financial modeling. + Experience in economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development, agreement drafting/redlining, and presentation development. As the Americas Lead for data center Acquisition and Development, you'll work within Google’s global Energy & Location Strategy team. You will be accountable for delivery of all data center locations, including site selection, acquisition, and base infrastructure work in North and South America. In this role, you will also play a key role in overall portfolio execution for existing data centers sites and related infrastructure. You'll be responsible for consolidated planning for new site selection and expansion of existing sites, acting as a point of escalation, and participating in critical high-level meetings in the field, as required. You will develop deep relationships with regional leadership in partner organizations and global functions, ensuring regional planning and execution is consistent with the standards and protocols set globally. In addition, you'll be accountable for dynamic reporting of metrics to efficiently support leadership updates. You will support development of a holistic view of supply choices and associated trade-offs, and serve as the single face and point of escalation when engaging with cross-functional planning teams. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
