Job Description Job Purpose The primary responsibility of the role is to manage a team that develops and maintains relationships with Debt Capital Market underwriting desks and key issuers to assure their contribution of fixed income new issuance content in a timely manner. The reference data business supports various client use cases including security master set-up, asset management, clearing and settling, trading, and analytics; as well as supporting ICE Data Services’ (IDS) Evaluations and ICE BofAML Fixed Income Indices businesses. Persuading market participants to provide new issuance content on pricing date and again when final documents are published is a key necessity for continued growth in the reference data space and is paramount to the success of our business strategy in order to expand the reference data business globally. Responsibilities Manage a team that persuades market participants to provide IDS with timely new issuance documents to ensure the information is received contemporaneously with the rest of the vendor community Build long-lasting relationships with underwriters, issuers and corporate trust administrators Increase market penetration through deeper relationship building with DCM Syndicate Desks, Issuers and Trustees in the primary and secondary markets Track new issues in target markets and increase coverage by establishing automatic contributions from DCM Syndicate Desks. Understand market gaps and through effective relationship management, improve the direct sourcing of data to be more timely, accurate, and complete. Represent IDS to the underwriting, issuer and corporate trust communities through in-person meetings, phone and email communications to ensure the timely contribution of desired reference data content Collaborate with data operations and the contributor teams to set priorities and create the “next universe” of market participants to target for relationship building Persuade market participants to provide IDS with timely corporate action content and amount outstanding to expand source coverage Serve as a subject matter expert for the end to end underwriting process Monitor trends affecting debt capital markets by attending industry events and following fixed income market activity Knowledge and Experience Qualifications Previous debt underwriting/syndication, relationship management or sales experience Prior experience of working on a debt syndicate desk as well as established DCM industry contacts are a plus Understanding of bond syndication practices is also a plus Bachelor’s Degree with considerable (3-5 years) underwriting or data procurement experience Requires excellent oral and written communications skills Professionalism Models a ‘can-do’ attitude and takes initiative as a self-starter; inspires and motivates others to do the same Makes a positive impression; represents the company well on the phone and in person, including maintaining attire and appearance that is consistent with company image and appropriate for employee’s role Successfully works in a team to achieve common goals Embraces, rather than resists, additional responsibilities Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
