The UHealth system at the University of Miami  has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Reporting in the UHealth Finance Department.

SUMMARY

The Director of Reporting is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial reports, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making. This role involves managing a team of reporting analysts and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                           

Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual reporting packages and annual surveys.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of reporting analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Accounting, Finance, and Operations, to gather necessary information for reporting.

Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Strategic Insights: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and reporting.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                         

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

Knowledge of business and management principles.Ability to assist in managing and implementing department goals and operations.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.Ability to prepare financial and accounting records.Ability to compile, organize, interpret, and communicate accounting data and results concisely.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
