Director, Residency Programs
**Job Summary** The Director, Residency Programs provides strategic oversight and/or supports educational outreach for the organization's residency and fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and aligning with organizational goals. This role may focus on overseeing program administration or on building and maintaining relationships with residency and fellowship programs to promote CHS as a desirable career destination, depending on organizational needs. **Essential Functions** + Provides leadership and oversight for residency and fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with ACGME and other accreditation standards. + Develops and implements policies, procedures, and best practices for residency program administration, aligning with organizational and educational standards. + Establishes and maintains relationships with residency and fellowship programs, promoting CHS as a career destination and supporting branding efforts. + Collaborates with program directors, faculty, and hospital leadership to design, assess, and enhance educational curriculum, rotations, and clinical experiences. + Manages recruitment processes, including outreach events, career planning sessions, and maintaining correspondence with prospective residents and fellows, as needed. + Oversees program administration tasks, including orientation, evaluations, budgeting, and resource allocation. + Monitors program performance through data analysis, resident feedback, and accreditation surveys, implementing improvement initiatives as needed. + Plans and executes events and marketing initiatives to promote CHS residency and fellowship opportunities, including attending relevant conferences and trade shows. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Education, or a related field required + Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Education, or a related field preferred + 5-7 years of experience in GME, physician recruitment, or residency program administration required + 1-3 years of experience in a leadership role required **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Strong knowledge of ACGME accreditation standards and graduate medical education requirements. + Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex educational programs. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage residents, fellows, faculty, and hospital leadership. + Proficiency in residency management software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Analytical skills for evaluating program data and implementing improvements. + Project management skills for planning outreach events, coordinating recruitment efforts, and managing residency program functions. **Licenses and Certifications** + Certification or training in Graduate Medical Education (GME) program administration (e.g., ACGME Program Directors' Workshop) preferred + Advanced credentials such as Certified Medical Educator (CME) or similar education-focused certifications preferred + Fellowship or leadership certifications, such as Fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) preferred Equal Employment Opportunity This organization does not discriminate in any way to deprive any person of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect the status of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, veteran status, or military or uniformed services, in accordance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
