We are currently seeking a Director of Retail Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics to drive data-driven decision support for the Retail division. This role will drive a high-performing data analytics organization supporting daily and long-term strategic operations. This position requires a strategic hands-on leader that builds effective working connections with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Retail BI and Analytics teamConducts in-depth analysis to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendationsAttract, develop, and retain talent while leveraging resources to help develop team skillsDrive results through teamwork and collaborationDrive execution of projects by understanding strategic needs, setting priorities, removing barriers, and obstacles, and allocating resources correctlyBe the source of truth for Retail KPI and metricsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to shape strategic roadmaps leveraging the data analytics and insightsPromote data literacy across the retail organization by proactively sharing actionable insightsBuilding and maintaining processes to ensure data integrity and accuracyAutomate reports and implement data visualization tools to democratize data access and optimize organizational efficiencyLead ad hoc business analysis to identify key insights to drive sellout across the retail portfolioUtilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze large/complex data sets and develop predictive models for anticipated outcomesDefine a data strategy and partner with key internal teams to develop a roadmap and infrastructure to support current and future business needsPresent complex ideas and data in a succinct and easy-to-understand method to senior executivesBuild strong partnerships with leaders across the Retail division and the broader Samsung organization

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience; MBA is a plus12+ years of directly related experience in data analytics, KPI, dashboard development, and finance is preferred.Familiarity with data concepts like visualization (Tableau), programming (Python), Structured queries (SQL), cloud data ecosystem (Snow Flake), and data privacy and securityExperience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, globally, and up & down an organizationExperience building, motivating, and managing a team of high-performing professionals.Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly and translate data into actionable insightsMicrosoft Standard Office Suite and advanced expertise in PowerPoint/ExcelExperience with data visualization platforms such as TableauStrong understanding and experience with big data platforms and analysis techniques and toolsDemonstrated program management ability, proven experience planning and executing large-scale projects and/or eventsStorytelling ability to translate complex data sets to a simple & easy-to-understand story to highlight key findings and recommendationsExperience collaborating with senior executives across a large organization


Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree with 10+ years of directly related experience is strongly preferred5+ years of experience developing predictive models that directly inform and/or enable quantifiable business action, either by providing insights or building analytic applications
