The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Director, Revenue & Category Growth to join our team. This individual will partner with the Sr. Director, Local Media Sales to drive all revenue at Local Media stations through strategic partnership development with emerging brands and advertisers to ensure key revenue growth. Provide consulting on the go-to-market strategy for the varied sales channels and categories to ensure sales budgets are met and exceeded.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Collaborate directly with sr. director, local media sales ,station general managers and directors of sales to integrate applicable local media category strategies across Scripps enterprise.Play an active role in account targeting, sales strategy, and proposal generation, ensuring alignment with local sales management.Conduct market visits, engaging with sales teams, general managers, and other key department heads on a regular basis.Drive visibility in local markets, maintaining relationships with key agencies, brands, and industry stakeholders.Track and help implement sales strategies and tactics with station sales directors to achieve special opportunities, new business, core, and digital goals tied to key categories.Identify training needs in partnership with LL&D for the sales leaders and employees, including all aspects of local, digital, national, and networks as it pertains to key categories of business.Track sales activity key performance indicators to meet ad sales revenue and profit goals.Establish effective communication methods to distribute information across the division and to identify station best practices.Perform other duties as assigned.WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experienceGenerally 10+ years of experience in related field preferredPrior managerial experience preferredWHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Expert knowledge of all facets of broadcast and digital sales and marketingUnderstanding of strategic account management, ratings, and digital executionProven track record of developing high performing sales teams, skilled at personnel development with the ability to coach and facilitateAdvanced oral and written communication skillsEffective in a variety of formal presentation settings both inside and outside the organizationAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft OfficeProven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain integrity in all business dealingsWORK ENVIRONMENT:
