About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Revenue Cycle Management to oversee and optimize end-to-end revenue cycle functions, including pre-service insurance verification, billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denials management, and payment posting. This role will also manage the credentialing and payor relations processes for licensed staff. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor financial operations, mitigate risks, and maximize patient services revenue..
Key Responsibilities:
As the Director of Revenue Cycle Management, your responsibilities will include:
+ Revenue Cycle Oversight:Lead all aspects of revenue cycle operations, including billing, A/R follow-up, denials management, and reimbursement processes.
+ Operational Monitoring & Reporting:Develop and maintain reporting to assess revenue cycle health, identify risks, and provide insights to senior leadership and the Finance Department.
+ Team Leadership:Supervise the Patient Accounts Manager and department, ensuring productivity, performance management, and a positive, equitable work environment.
+ System Optimization:Collaborate with the HIT team to maintain electronic billing configurations, ensuring compliance with payer policies and industry standards.
+ Provider & Patient Process Management:Ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and provider coding compliance to optimize reimbursements and minimize claim denials.
+ Credentialing & Payor Relations:Oversee provider credentialing, payor enrollment, and contract renewals to ensure compliance with regulations and network participation.
+ Audit & Compliance:Assist in annual fiscal audits, government reporting, and payer-requested audits while maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills, Language)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or other related field required. Master degree preferred.
+ 7+ years of experience in health care-related accounts receivable management, with FQHC experience required.
+ 5+ years of leadership/management experience required.
+ Primary care billing experience strongly preferred.
+ Professional certification in coding preferred
+ Demonstrated relevant experience with electronic practice management systems.
+ A track record of building diverse, high-performing teams and cross functional partnerships.
+ Prior experience in a social services or healthcare setting and/or a non-profit organization highly desirable.
+ Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under stress in a dynamic environment, managing patient care needs effectively.
+ Strong leadership and management skills.
+ Proficiency in conflict resolution
+ Strategic thinking and planning skills.
+ Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
