Director, Risk Intelligence and Analytics

Reporting to the Head of Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT), the Director, Risk Intelligence and Analytics' responsibility will be to deliver ongoing enhancements to reporting and analytics. This includes automation and preparation of ongoing established reports and ad-hoc requests for delivery to the Company’s Chief Risk Officer, Executive, and Board Risk Committees, supporting the building of GenAI practices and engines for risk intelligence and any corresponding data related processes.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual model risk management and reinsurance risk management reports for the Chief Risk Officer, executive team, and Board risk committees.

Lead and oversee the automation of existing manual reports and processes

Manage data and deliver reports, memos, presentations, and information packages to comply with regulatory and rating agency requirements.

Identify, track and monitor risks, issues and corrective action plans in collaboration with line 1 and 1b teams.

Support the development of GenAI models and processes to enable proactive risk intelligence.

Driving process enhancements for collecting and analyzing model risk and reinsurance risk data across the enterprise.

Partner with program leads to support report transformation and business intelligence (BI) enablement of model risk management and reinsurance risk management programs.

Provide Archer (Risk System) Program Support, including assisting with the Archer system initiatives (e.g. data analysis, data clean-up, validation, creating and maintenance of reports and dashboards)

Identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies within Canada Segment reporting framework and processes.

Assist in testing, cleaning, and preparing data for reporting readiness.

Generate reports and ensure accuracy in the metrics being reported.

Support the ongoing collaboration of Risk Management with other oversight and assurance functions (e.g. Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, Information Security etc.). Build and maintain a strong network of partners in Functional areas.

Function in an advisory capacity to provide support to leadership and staff to improve risk assessment skills, raise enterprise risk awareness and promote a healthy risk culture.

Create documentation of oversight performed to ensure adherence to the enterprise risk management tools and processes.

Required Qualifications:

Around 8-10 years of relevant experience in any of the fields of automation, analytics, and/or reporting

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends, patterns, and outliers.

Extensive experience in leadership roles, preferably within the relevant industry, with a proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company’s mission and objectives.

Strong RPA, GenAI, and analytics background

Strong data, computer, and analytical skills particularly PowerBI, Excel, Word, Archer, and Powerbase

Skilled in dashboard design with a focus on UI/UX.

Experience in working with database schemas, data modeling, visualization and ETL processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Highly organized individual with strong time management and organizational skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills; showing tact and diplomacy in dealing with others.

Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable with adjusting to ad-hoc changes in workflow.
