We are Revlon, together, transforming beauty. **Position Overview:** Lead the Environmental Health, and Safety, programs for the Oxford, NC manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, standards, codes, and company policies. The EHS Director is responsible for full integration of safety and environmental management into the facility’s operations as well as ensuring the facility safety and environmental goals are met. The EHS Director will make recommendations to the management to implement programs and improvements at the manufacturing facility. Responsibilities encompass providing safe working conditions for employees in 1.1 million square feet of manufacturing, filling assembly, warehousing and distribution activities. Responsibilities will include oversight and training of over 1,000 hourly and management employees in safe work practices. **Major Duties** + Ensure the effective execution of safety and environmental management processes following established regulations, policies, standards and best practices. Implement best practices across the manufacturing facility as needed. + Direct and lead all efforts for a proactive safety and environmental program + Leads and engages in the development, maintenance and reporting of Wastewater, Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste, Universal Waste, Used Oil, and Storm water programs + Educate, train, and provide support to operations in the development and execution of consistent safety and environmental management programs + Execute, measure, and monitor processes to assess the overall safety and environmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement + Support the partnership with risk management (operations) to identify trends and opportunities for improvements in tools, training, or processes + Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental programs + Direct accident investigation programs, develop accident trends, and develop programs for improving performance. + Work with transportation safety on common safety and environmental issues related to the facility + Cooperates in a cross-functional manner as a change agent with all departments within the Company + Review insurance company reports and advise local management regarding recommended corrective action. + Interface with Corporate Legal and insurance departments to assist in reducing compensation costs, claims, and injuries through appropriate recommendations on programs, evaluations, investigations and advice. + Manage local EHS team **Experience:** + 7-10 years Environmental Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing chemical filling plant or similar experience **Required Knowledge & Skills** + Possesses extensive working knowledge of regulatory requirements for federal and state programs, processes, and program implementation strategies. + Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and outcomes. + The ability to develop, conduct, and maintain training programs using lecture, PowerPoint, or practical methods. + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. + Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures. + Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies. + Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes in the Management Operating Structure (MOS). + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. + Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail. + Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines. **Education** + Bachelor’s degree + An EHS-related certification such as CSHO, OSHT, CET, CHMM, ASP, and/or CSP is a plus. **Work Environment** + Work is performed primarily in the production and distribution areas of the facility + Some outdoor work is necessary for exterior operations + Extensive walking is essential due to facility's size \#LI-JL1 The base pay range for this position is $140,000 and $160,000/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance. Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled).
