Major Duties:1. Manages an applications unit or function. Establishes performance standards for the unit. Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and career development needs2. Determines staffing needs, makes hiring and firing decisions, handles salary administration, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities. Develops and manages diversity programs and programs for the unit3. Participates in developing the business unit strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit. Follows through to ensure that objectives are met4. Develops risk management and compliance programs and activities for the unit5. Consults with business unit partners to determine the most effective computerutilization to solve business problems or address business needs. May also work closely with business unit partners to define and review Service Level Agreements and to ensure services meet or exceed business needs6. Directs systems projects, including project planning, management status reporting, systemsspecifications and implementation. May also implement and help identify measures to improve applications stability and availability, sustain and improve cost efficiencies and productivity gains7. Reviews, negotiates, and maintains vendor contracts and makes recommendations forpurchasing outside services8. Communicates with various business areas and outside vendors, consultants, and clientsregarding automation needs9. Ensures compliance with all audit requirements including change control procedures and datasecurity10. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication11. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise12. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
Skills & Experience:

More than 20+ years of overall experience.Very strong technology leader who has executed large programs in the Cloud preferably in Microsoft Azure.Strong knowledge on the Java based technology.Exposure to the Big data stack is a must.Strong understanding in Distributed programming through various technology like REST API, Kafka/Solace publish subscribe, Relational and Columnar database.Financial domain is a must with good background on Asset Servicing Transaction/Trade processing lifecycle.Machine Learning exposure is highly preferred.Knowledge in TCS BaNCs product is preferred.Understands the Secured programming well.Strong people management background with good Talent development practices.

Experience: A College or University degree in Computer Science and/or Financial Services work experience is required
