Director, Senior Relationship Manager - Alternatives Product & Platform

The Alternatives Product and Platform team within US Wealth Advisory is responsible for driving commercial results across our alternatives platform by partnering with key home office clients and internal stakeholders across BlackRock.

Responsibilities

Senior relationship manager responsible for owning, managing and developing relationships with alternative investment home office and research teams at independent broker dealers and RIA/custodians to secure distribution agreements for BlackRock alternative investment products (semi-liquid and QP solutions) and identify opportunities to build new products or bespoke solutions.Oversee all aspects of product onboarding (diligence, structuring, launch, marketing, and support) with partner platform resources and BlackRock internal business partners.Understand and maintain a working knowledge of firms’ platforms, manager evaluation process, firm initiatives, and investment trends.Collaborate with internal partners (investment, product strategy, strategic accounts, marketing, legal, other) to support existing placements (messaging, compliance, product updates, etc.) and create internal advocacy.Communicate relevant information to key internal partners (alternatives product team, management, sales and national accounts) related to partner firm developments, including product needs, competitive product launches/wind-downs, and organizational developments.Identify non-product opportunities with partner platforms to further expand BlackRock’s alternative investment brand and thought leadership with advisors and end-clients.Contribute to on-going development of team culture and management processes.Stay current with industry trends and developments, assess the associated impact on BlackRock’s alternative business in wealth, and help formulate counter strategies/risk mitigants.

Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated track record of relationship with wealth platforms especially independent broker/dealers, and RIAs/custodians.Strong technical knowledge of alternative investment strategies (private equity, real estate, credit, hedge funds, and infrastructure) and structures (private and public)Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to develop partnerships with external relationships and internal colleaguesPositive, collaborative approach anchored with a client-first attitudeExperienced in leading projects across multiple teams and constituentsExcellent academic credentials including an undergraduate degree requiredRequired security licenses (Series 7, 63 or 66)


For NY7 - 50 Hudson Yards, New York Only the salary range for this position is USD$194,000.00 - USD$270,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
