We design and build cutting-edge moderation platforms, access governance tools, and decision quality systems that empower human reviewers with AI-driven insights—helping them make fast, accurate, and scalable decisions. Our team also enables proactive investigations to detect and mitigate emerging threats before they impact the platform. From multi-level content reviews to intelligent automation for access control and investigations, our work directly influences platform integrity, member trust, and safety at scale. Responsibilities: - Lead and Develop Talent: Support the growth, performance, and career development of a diverse team of engineers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment. - Drive Technical Excellence: Lead the design and architecture of key LinkedIn products, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions while guiding engineering teams in best practices. - Shape the Technology Roadmap: Partner with product and senior management to define and execute a long-term technical vision aligned with business goals. - Make Data-Driven Decisions: Evaluate complex challenges, navigate ambiguity, and apply a balanced approach to decision-making while effectively communicating rationale. - Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across engineering, product, and design to align on business goals and prioritize member needs, driving meaningful impact. - Mentor and Inspire: Serve as a role model and coach, fostering a culture of innovation, craftsmanship, and a solution-oriented mindset. - Manage Strategic Partnerships: Assess and oversee vendor relationships, ensuring seamless integrations and adherence to best practices. - Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with operations teams, investigators, lines of business (LoBs), contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and alignment. - Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations and provide on-call support to ensure seamless functionality and responsive client service for Trust Tools. - Scale and Optimize Systems: Architect and enhance distributed applications, leveraging synchronous and asynchronous design patterns for efficiency and reliability. - Deliver High-Quality Software: Ensure code is well-tested, peer-reviewed, and continuously integrated to maintain performance and reliability in a 24/7 environment. Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of hands-on technical management and people management experience. - 18+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions. - Expertise in designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and reliable web applications. - Demonstrated ability to guide engineering teams in delivering multiple high-quality projects on time. - Commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture—hiring, mentoring, and empowering engineers through impactful projects and thoughtful career development. Preferred Qualifications: - Proven ability to lead and support large, cross-functional teams (including engineering managers) within a product development organization. - Strong track record of influencing stakeholders and driving results in a matrixed environment. - Hands-on experience shaping and executing technical strategies and roadmaps. - Experience in and/or passion for trust, safety, and integrity, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field. - Bonus: Experience leading teams that develop user-friendly, consumer-facing products leveraging full-stack technologies.
