The **Director of Strategy and Business Development** plays a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide strategic growth initiatives and working closely with the Executive Leadership team. This role will lead the enterprise synergy initiative, support development and execution of the Brunswick Business System, manage the annual strategic planning process, and lead and support priority enterprise strategic initiatives.

+ Work with the Brunswick SMT on increasing enterprise synergies including updating the enterprise synergy strategy, execution plan, and governance and communication framework.
+ Develop, update, and publish a comprehensive list of enterprise synergy initiatives along with their financial impact and other associated KPIs.
+ Work across the divisions and functions to actively identify and connect enterprise synergies with the enterprise and division strategies.
+ Over time become the most knowledgeable person in the organization and source of truth on all things enterprise synergies.
+ Work with the Brunswick Business System Program Lead to provide direct support to the development and execution of the Brunswick Business System.
+ Work with the Vice President of Corporate Strategy to manage the annual strategic planning process across Brunswick.
+ Generate and effectively shape strategy communication to the Board of Director, SMT, and Investor community among others.
+ Working with the M&A team, identify and develop opportunities through mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, as appropriate.
+ Provide ad-hoc leadership and business level support (research, presentations, financial analyses, etc.) on select, priority enterprise strategic initiatives in support of the SMT.
+ On an as needed basis, assist key internal division/functional stakeholders on critical strategic initiatives.
+ Evaluates new market and growth opportunities – uncover and assess growth options to sustain top and bottom-line expansion.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ A Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred.
+ 5+ years of work experience with a preference towards work in industrial or consumer product companies and in jobs with significant strategic, financial, and/or analytical focus.
+ Some experience working with Executive Level of Management in a large organization is required.
+ Significant experience successfully working across functions and divisions without direct authority is required.
+ Exceptional analytical and insight capability is required -- the preferred candidate will have a strong record of executing assumptions based analysis and modeling
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills required with the ability to lead discussions and create succinct deliverables for Senior Management and the Board of Directors (e.g., white papers, PowerPoint, etc.).
+ Demonstrated ability to work positively and collaboratively with business partners with multiple priorities.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and advance multiple high priority projects.
+ Ability to have direct but tactful conversations with peers and executives.
+ Engaging interpersonal approach that inspires open dialogue and collaboration.
Working Conditions:
+ The ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $ _129,500 - $219,000,_ annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
