Team Background:

American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks serving Card Members across 23 markets. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access to best-in-class travel and lifestyle programs and benefits, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to Card Members seeking leisure or business travel.

TLS serves numerous Card Member segments around the world, leveraging different channels, including our customer contact centers, market specific travel websites, and evolving digital solutions. Access to the wealth of benefits and services provided by TLS provides a competitively differentiated Card benefit that is part of these cards’ overall value proposition.

The Global Customer Experience Team is a group within TLS that imagines, enables and evolves the end-to-end TLS customer experience. The team drives product management as well as the overall business strategy – with innovation at the heart of almost everything we do. 

Within GCX, the Strategic Planning team focuses on driving strategic bets and large-scale transformation through strong collaboration across TLS and other stakeholder teams (e.g., Technologies, Product and Benefit teams, Amex Labs, Enterprise Digital).

 

Role Responsibilities:

·    Support refinement of global TLS strategy over the next 3-5 years, leveraging data and customer insights to define a unified global strategy

·    Collaborate with key business partners to align on the strategic vision and priorities to ensure a seamless cardmember experience

·    Develop strategy to communicate and socialize TLS strategic vision across the organization

·    Manage Strategic Planning forums with senior leaders to consistently review and evolve the strategy across the organization and with key internal and external stakeholders

·    Oversee analysis of internal and external data to derive insights and recommendations for a senior leader audience within TLS and across AXP

 

Qualifications: 

You are a creative problem solver who is comfortable challenging the status quo, navigating ambiguity, and providing implementable answers to unstructured problems You are a strategic thought leader with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic projects in a global and highly matrixed environment You are an adept interpreter who can translate overall business vision and objectives into tactical strategies and plans You are a collaborator who is able to influence senior leaders and present clear and logical solutions to complex business problems You are an effective communicator who can successfully create convincing business narratives through quantitative analysis

 

Educational Requirements:

·       Bachelor's Degree required 

·       MBA (or equivalent) strongly preferred 

Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience; focus on travel, business insights, and data analytics a plus

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
