Director, Supply Chain Masco Canada (On-site St Thomas ON office)

Position Summary:
The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for developing and leading the supply chain strategy and operations to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products. This role involves overseeing purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and logistics while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategic objectives, reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, Customer Service & IT.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop, Implement, and oversee a comprehensive supply chain strategy and operations that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in supplier operations.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce shipping costs, and improve delivery times in accordance with service level agreements.
Design and implement inventory management systems and policies and procedures to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize holding costs.
Coordinate with the production team to develop and execute production schedules that align with customer demand and inventory levels.
Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigating strategies to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance, standards and company policies.
Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), performance reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Lead and manage the supply chain team, providing guidance, mentoring, performance feedback, and training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the supply chain team.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment to drive overall business performance.
What will you bring:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (MBA is preferred).
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Knowledge of global supply chain trends and best practices.
Strong understanding of supply chain management software and tools
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
