About this Role:
The Director team Manager, SRS & Growth Accelerator is responsible for overseeing the management and strategy for the secondary research support for IT Leaders Practice including both IT leaders Tech Professional and ITL Role Based Practice within Gartner’s R&A Strategy and Operations Org. The role will manage secondary research delivery for two India-based sub-teams with a total team size of 10 associates. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Gartner’s Senior Leaders in R&A and RASO organizations to help drive client retention and engagement by delivering on our strategy of delivering compelling content and fact base for publications and events.
SRS team: Central team for Gartner Analyst/experts community to provide fact base for publications and Gartner events through secondary sources. In addition to this core business proposition SRS team regularly partners with experts to build new research solutions/tools, and gets involved in several content planning and innovation projects.
What You’ll Do:
Research and Quality
Complete ownership for implementation, execution and strategizing secondary research support based on established best practices around project management and quality assurance across all projectsBuild subject matter and process expertise within the team through strategic hiring, aligning domain-specific training, and creating on-the-job learning opportunities.Facilitate and Drive adoption of new resources, tools, techniques (Gen AI, Analytics, Automation) to build efficiency and scaleBusiness Alignment and Operations
Establish and oversee a comprehensive strategy, drive engagement with all top stakeholdersPrioritize relentlessly and direct team efforts towards High client demand topics and initiativesOwn and leverage teams business metrices to track progress against goals and help relevant decision making, demonstrate real-time performance and business impactAddress escalations and make high-level decisions on resource allocation, priorities, strategic projectsPeople and Talent Management
Provide strategic oversight and organizational alignment including information percolation, guidance and support to principals, specialists, and senior specialistsLead talent acquisition strategy and execution in partnership with the HR, Recruitment, and Campus Hiring teams.Build strong next level leadership– people leaders and Senior content leads Strategies with leadership to provide vision on long terms career paths for associates Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional developmentInnovation and cross team collaboration

Education and Experience
10+ years of experience in leading research / data analytics / business intelligence / consulting firms with 5-7 years in management (setting-up, scaling and managing high performance research teams)MBA from leading A or B schools, master’s degree (any stream), BE/B.Tech from Grade A Eng. collegesExperience in managing teams focused on generating research insights on technology/markets, market sizing using large dataset, industry/company/country analysis through primary/secondary researchBusiness solutioning and technical expertise
Understand business information needs for - High tech vendors and end user client like Banks, manufacturing, with demonstrated ability to develop targeted contentHands on experience or business application know how of automation, Analytics tools and techniques with prior experience in partnering with technology teams on implementationUnderstanding of Generative AI tools and capabilities with some experience in conceptualizing or implementation of use case will be an advantageLeadership Skills
