HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Director, Technical Infrastructure Services. This technical leadership position oversees multiple teams and is accountable for directing the strategy, administration, and planning of technical infrastructure services. The Director ensures that the infrastructure strategy aligns with HealthPartners mission, vision, and goals, and ensures that capacity models and planning for services and same store growth (SSG) are supported and maintained.
The Director has budgetary and leadership responsibility of 10-12 direct reports with total accountability of approximately 90 personnel. The department works in an Agile environment and across multiple platforms which includes Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Citrix, and VMware. It also oversees End User Computing (EUC).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 10+ years’ experience within Information Technology 8+ years’ experience within Infrastructure Services (e.g., operating systems, hardware services, networking, data centers). 8+ years’ experience in management or leadership roles Proficient communication skills. Must be able to present to groups, discuss technical topics across technical expertise, and document ideas clearly and concisely. Excellent people skills with a strong customer experience orientation First-hand experience managing budgets; operational budgets and capital budgets. Demonstrated team building and team leadership capabilities. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, FDA requirements, Payment Card Industry Standards, etc.). Strong capacity management planning experience Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills, able to assess problems as part of a larger system. Strong arbitration and negotiation skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working and/or leading in an Agile environment. Experience with data centers and/or Cloud computing. Experience with automation (e.g., Ansible, Chef).Hours/Location:
M-F; Days (including on-call) May work in a hybrid capacity but will need to minimally be onsite two days/week.Accountabilities:
Responsible for the supervision of staff, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward, and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Partners within IT to deliver seamless and transparent technical solutions and products within IT. Develops, communicates, and mentors performance expectations to all direct reports within the team. Selects and develops an outstanding, initiative-taking management team in a positive, productive, and diverse work environment. Provides recommendations for the strategic direction of HealthPartners technical platform and infrastructure support. Partners with IT Governance to ensure policies, standards, and procedures are successfully implemented. Develops IT strategic plans in alignment with HealthPartners Mission, Vision, and goals. Oversees the management of vendor relationships and contracts, standardizing service level requirements and contractual expectations. Oversees, manages, and approves the operating and capital budgets within the group; reviewing Capacity Management Plans and Project Charters to ensure adequate forecasting of infrastructure resources, hardware, and software costs. Develops policies for IT as it relates to the delivery and operations of infrastructure services. Provides direction and oversight for Disaster Recovery planning for the technologies supported by their team. Monitors team’s service delivery levels: assessing current processes, technologies and/ or resource allocations that may impact the availability, continuity, capacity, and transparency of technical infrastructure services. Develops and reviews Return on investment and Cost Benefit analyses for changes that have significant impacts to infrastructure services.
