About the Role & Team

The Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Transformation Department is responsible for managing the P&L for the total company, partnering with Corporate teams on budget management, and transforming the Finance function. Finance Transformation is a high-profile, cross-functional initiative to define and create the future of Finance at The Walt Disney Company.

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Finance Transformation to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Finance Transformation team. This role will report directly to the EVP of Corporate FP&A and Finance Transformation and will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of FP&A Transformation initiatives focused on planning processes, data governance, and a modern technology foundation for Finance.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects, and brings experience in FP&A along with a passion for the data and tools to support a modern Finance organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building strong relationships with stakeholders and driving successful project outcomes. Experience with process improvement and automation is a plus.

What You Will Do

Partner closely with Segment transformation teams and external consultants to modernize and enhance our capabilities in budgeting, actuals, forecasting, and financial analysis, while realizing significant efficiencies.Architect and implement a comprehensive Finance transformation plan in collaboration with Segment transformation teams and external consultants.Develop a set of actionable blueprints outlining concrete steps to establish an Enterprise-wide, “single-source-of-truth" data architecture and governance model.Identify a suite of planning tools that enable automation, data analytics, and streamlined processes to drive measurable improvements in financial processes and organizational performance gains.Work closely with senior leadership to enhance organizational capabilities in actuals, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and objectives.Guide and influence key collaborators across the organization, ensuring successful implementation of transformation initiatives that drive long-term, sustainable results.

Required Qualifications & Skills

10+ years of progressive work experience with specific expertise in FP&A (Corporate or Segment)Experience in entertainment, media, technology, or related fieldsSolid foundation in FP&A activities, systems, tools, and processesDemonstrated business acumen with well-developed planning and analytical skills, using a global perspectiveEffective collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally with senior leaders, external consultants, and other key stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships, influence decisions and drive results through partnerships at all levelsAbility to expertly field both internal & external business requests and manage prioritiesStrong initiative and ability to bring order to ambiguity. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to drive projects to completionStrong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to lead complex projects from concept through to implementationAbility to function effectively in a highly charged executive environment, and the ability to discern when to act independently

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldMBA or CPA is preferred

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $182,000 to $222,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
