Job Summary
The Director of Transportation Planning leads the development and implementation of strategic transportation initiatives to enhance mobility, connectivity, and sustainability within our organization. This role involves overseeing transportation studies, analyzing data to guide decision-making, managing budgets, and collaborating with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include long-term planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing infrastructure projects, and optimizing systems for efficiency and safety.
Core Responsibilities
Leads a Transportation Planning Team that covers planning and execution of transportation for proprietary products and third-party logistics
Establishes a domestic freight strategy to ensure delivery, quality and compliance excellence
Develop an enterprise-wide centralized transportation planning team for common carriers to scale across multiple ERPs
Responsible for driving year-over-year financial success
Develops 3PL transportation programs and enhances growth of transportation globally
Creates a robust domestic visibility solution and KPI package used to drive carrier accountability and improvement
Builds close working relationships with Manufacturing, Planning, Field Operations and other teams to ensure capacity is secured for all shipments
Closely partners with Supply Chain Planning Team and Finance to ensure proper capacity is built into transportation forecasts
Partners closely with International Transportation and Trade Compliance Team to ensure international shipment handoffs are planned cleanly

Qualifying Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
5 - 10 years experience in managing Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain
Ability to travel up to 25%
