What is the Opportunity?

This role is part of US Enterprise Risk Management, responsible for executing regulatory related processes that effect US Enterprise Risk Management, US Enterprise Risk Management Transformation and more broadly GRM across the U.S.

What will you do?

Create and maintain regulatory gap assessments for key U.S. regulations that impact GRM in the U.S.

Work closely GRM partners to document controls, test control effectiveness, and document any control deficiencies through the creation of Self-Identified Issues

Be knowledgeable about industry best practices as it relates to regulations assessed to ensure that RBC meets regulatory requirements.

Lead the improvements to the compliance programs to create the shift from annual to on-going activities.

Provide execution and oversight of US Enterprise Risk Management and US Enterprise Risk Management Transformation’s Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program.

Identify new regulations and changes to existing regulations that impact the departments and facilitate the documentation of controls, gaps and remediation plans.

Work with Enterprise RCM teams to drive a consistent process across the organization.

Maintain responsibility model that outlines key Senior Management Functions with roles intended to fulfill the required governance and oversight requirements of the firm as defined in the Combined US Operations (“CUSO”) Risk Management Framework

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law or other related fields

5 years in risk management or interpreting regulation

Familiarity with the U.S. Regulatory landscape

General knowledge of key risk disciplines e.g., enterprise, market, counterparty credit, liquidity risk and Operational Risk

Knowledge of industry best-practices on self-assessments against regulatory model guidelines.

Proven experience with transformational roles that require consensus-building across a large number of people

Managing projects and initiatives for multiple stakeholders

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

In-depth knowledge of MS Office

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law or other related fields or Risk Management (ex. FRM) certification

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $160,000 - $250,000 (New Jersey) depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
