We are seeking a Director, Utility & IPP Origination to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies and this role report to Vice President, Global Power & Utilities and will be based remotely in Texas.
The Director, Utility & IPP Origination would join our team to source, negotiate, and execute Power Purchase Agreements (“PPAs”) and Capital Purchase (“CapEx”) Agreements with utilities and independent power producers located in the US. This position will initiate new sales efforts and close transactions with utilities and IPPs. The position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, constantly collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to meet revenue driven deadlines.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead PPAs and CapEx Origination to utilities, IPPs, Co-Ops, and other potential utility-scale customersConduct preliminary evaluation of financial viability, policy and regulatory review, development, and go-to-market strategiesIdentify, target, analyze, and execute on utility opportunities for Bloom’s utility scale product offerings including requests for bids (RFP/RFI) opportunities, bilateral agreements, develop proposals, and other commercial materialsProject manage cross-functional teams to execute product offerings and proposalsBuild and Maintain Strategic Relationships with consultants, partners, EPCs, Independent System Operators (ISOs), government agencies, and other industry stakeholders who impact customer decision-makingEvaluate market conditions, market revenue potential, customer feedback, and regulatory landscapes to capitalize on new opportunities and adapt strategies accordinglyCommunicate key deal points and present recommendations to executive managementTravel to customer meetings and relevant industry conferencesProvide input into the business plan and origination strategyWork with regulatory and policy experts to track and incorporate policy effortsAchieve measurable results and revenue targets
