Job DescriptionTeam Summary:
Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), bill payment, cross-border remittance and more. Currently, the push payments market around the world is estimated to be an USD80T opportunity.
The Visa Direct team is responsible for leading Visa’s efforts to support all channels and extend payouts to cards and accounts. Building on Visa Direct’s market leading platform, the Visa Direct service enables banks, remitters, merchants, enablers and fintechs to send payments to consumers and small business around the world.
For the Vietnam market specifically, the individual will work with front line teams, taking support from Visa Direct hub teams, to generate awareness, actively pitch to banks and fintechs, build a pipeline and ultimately deliver sales target. For existing programs, the individual will monitor and drive utilization and revenue realization.

The Director, Vietnam Commercialization, Visa Direct will be based in Vietnam. The individual will be critical to Visa’s regional money movement objectives and responsible for working collaboratively with front line sales and account executives of Bank, and Merchant clients, solutioning team in the hub as well as in-country Visa Direct team members.
Working within the organization for timely solution launches, you will lead engagements with senior client stakeholders, pitch value proposition and help create solutions for various domestic and cross-border opportunities.

Consult with clients, partners and prospects to design solutions that accelerate adoption of Visa DirectOwn use case value proposition, commercialization, including strategy and growth optimization for clients like banks, merchants, big tech and fintechsProvide business and technical solutions for new use-cases penetrating target markets, by assessing market/client/prospect needs, reviewing ecosystem readiness, collaboration with regional, global, and product and commercializationCreate a go-to-market plan to scale Visa Direct using a targeted approach for secondary enablers who can offer Visa Direct as a service in addition to existing payment servicesWork with sales leads on advanced/originating opportunities, and help take transactions through implementation and launch life cycleEnable solutions by working with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Client Support (CS), Risk, Compliance, AML, and other product teams across VisaBe a Visa Direct product SME and support client implementations and launch journeyMonitor business enhancement releases and other product related changes and be a focal point of contact for the AP regionRepresent voice of the client within the product roadmap and work closely with product development teams to ensure readiness in implementing new solutionsSupport client pricing deal negotiations or incentives, operating under the regional pricing framework, aligned with global pricing strategy/policy, pricing operations, while taking into account the regional competitive environmentWhy this is important to Visa:
This role will be accountable for development and commercialization of the Visa Direct capabilities across segments in the Vietnam market, working together with country and hub teams. The role holder will plan, think through, develop and support commercialization of the Visa Direct capabilities such as account funding, push payments and cross-border P2C / P2A payments solutions. These are all payment services that Visa provides to clients to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements around the world. Money Movement consumer and business applications include account funding (top-ups), person to person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), cross border remittance and funds disbursements (e.g., marketplace seller payouts, insurance claim disbursements, acquirer merchant settlement).
QualificationsWhat you will need:
We are looking for a motivated, client focused individual with a track record of consultative selling. A successful candidate should have accumulated a variety of industry experience in payments and transaction banking with a results-driven and client-centric mindset.Minimum 12 years of professional experience in payments, banking or payment processing, having performed FI sales or payment product sales, with experience in payment rails and/or correspondent banking.Experience in developing a domestic or cross border payment flows business within Asia Pacific region, e.g. such as personal transfers, wallet transfers, business payments, and other disbursements for digital or fintech players.Experience in go-to-market and product management, skills in program management are desiredUnderstanding of Payments, Banking and Financial services, its platforms and commercial models.Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate technical solutions.Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.Organizational and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate and drive results.Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving.Consultative product solutions experience within an enterprise or financial services environment.Knowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamics.Ability to think creatively to solve problems with customer at the center.Fluent in both Vietnamese and English.Role to be based in Hanoi, though open to Ho Chi Minh for the right candidate.Additional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
